About the author

The French tire company Michelin publishes a variety of road maps, mostly of France but also other countries in Europe, Africa and North America. Michelin roadmaps were reproduced in England for the Allied invasion during World War II.

Probably the most confusing and terrible atlas I have ever used. I would not buy this. I wish I had remembered I had a Rand McNally road atlas. We took this 9,109 miles from Ohio to Alaska and back and I would absolutely not recommend it. Also, it fell apart into a few pieces by the time we returned.

I love maps of all sorts; especially road maps. My wife got this one for me as part of my Christmas gift. This has a format different than the one I am used to. Instead of having a separate map for each state or province, it uses a grid system to cover North America.
