Really enjoyed this odyssey of an American woman who, upon finally breaking off a relationship that is going nowhere, sets off alone into lesser known parts of Europe. Have you ever wondered what it's like to toss it all to the wind and go on a true adventure--have colorful roommates in Hungary, learn languages, become a teacher, follow one's spiritual path, delve into cultural riches and have perplexing boyfriends that don't work out? Jamsen will let you know, while staying (mostly) cheerful and keeping her faith through it all. She is a wonderful guide through Europe, and is also very learned in music, and a passionate and informative traveling companion. Sneak peak: she also lets the reader in on her "relationship" with Franz Liszt, on her way to find the love of her life here on earth. Highly recommend!!
I loved the courageous story of Linda taking on a quest for love. As she immerses herself in a completely different reality in Eastern Europe, she opens herself up to new experiences, people, places, and a string of romantic encounters. I love Linda's humour, her warmth, and the candid manner in which she recounts her miraculous adventures. Reading her well-written story allowed me to dive into her life and I only came up for air once the last page had been turned. Highly recommended!
I really enjoyed this book! As a middle aged woman who has traveled and lived in Europe, and who also loves classical music, this book ticked off so many key things for me. Romance, travel, adventure, music...
Linda's true life story reads like a fiction and is entertaining and also encouraging... life can still be so full of adventure, even in your forties!
I recommend this book to anyone who has spent time in Europe, dreamed of finding love abroad and loves classical music.
Lovely story, inspiring, I was particularly touched by the account of the appearance of Our Blessed Lady & what it meant to Linda & how she wrote so beautifully about her friends & the people that she met along the way.
