Shirrá Lynn is a native of Washington, DC. A writer of Interracial Romance, she is also a hobbyist poet and floral designer. When she isn’t writing or snipping roses, she loves spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephew. In college, during a critique session in a creative writing class, her professor described her writing style as ‘too colloquial’. Shirrá took this appraisal and used it as a catalyst to produce stories that are engaging, real and speak to the heart.
These short stories are like shots of feel good to the soul. I didn't realize they were as short and each one left you with wanting more. Shirrá has a way of drawing you in, even if its a quick fix. The 1st short story sort of confused me at first because the climax of that meeting came so fast and then it was over. I was like, 'what just happened?' 🤣 Actually looking forward to book 2, and meeting the next group. It be nice if each story were just a bit more.
I don't usually read shorts but came across this and I wasn't disappointed. I loved the language, the scenarios and passion between the leads, some good old fashioned loving. It left me smiling. I'll be looking out for the next series.
Quartet is 4 short stories filled with romance, sex, and love. Each story is entirely unique and in the very short time you’re with each character, you find yourself being pulled into their stories. Cannot wait for book 2!
Each story was interesting and spicy. A wonderfully captured moment in time that was the catalyst for steamy, exciting undressed adulting. Reviewed by Who She Reads.
I really enjoyed reading Quartet. This book was steamy, spicy and filled with quick. I loved The Class of 97 my goodness. I definitely recommend you read this book.
Quartet: A BWWM Contemporary Romance Series: Book 1 (Class of ’97) by Shirra’ Lynn
Drink: Game Day Cocktail
Music: Kissin’ You by Total
Audiobook: Aure Nash, John Joseph Rogers: Aure and John Joseph are quickly becoming the standard of audiobooks for us. It was a full production. There was music and sounds. Something as simple as a car door shutting truly elevated and brought the story to life. The voices given to each character fit them perfectly. These two together and individually are pure magic. Jake: If, “look but don’t touch,” was a person it would be Jake. He was okay with admiring from afar.
Shanice “Shani”: If, “don’t judge a book by its cover,” was a person it would be Shani. She refused to let one more day go by without taking action.
The Quartet was anthology that was so sexy and fun to read. Class of ’97 was the first book of the anthology with an epic audio attached to it and will be the focus of this book review. Class of ’97 was one of the fastest slow burns we’ve ever read lol. It was such an intriguing concept and executed perfectly. We enjoyed this audiobook. It was the moaning, panting, and kissing sounds that took it to another level. All the sounds together made this audio feel more interactive and kept us hooked. This whole anthology is a must read for sure. Recipe can be found on Pinterest by mycrazygoodlife.com
I love the romance and love these characters have for one another. It's the type of love and romance one would want to have. Each story is different from the other as far as the type of characters and the kind of romance and love they have for the other. Very good book!
13.2.22. I read this book again on 14.2.2 for the second time. It left me wanting more. Still waiting for no. 2. But just as enjoyable as the first time.
