Inferno

Trust no one.

Growing up in a mafia family taught me that. But once I was out, I never thought a fellow cop would turn me over to criminals.

I was wrong.

The cartel held me captive and tortured me until I was sure I’d die in that basement.

Then an angel saved me.

Too bad she was the cartel leader’s widow—and my brother had just killed her husband.

She was glad he was dead and so was I, but that didn’t mean she was ready to be mine…

When she came to me for help with rescuing her kidnapped son, I knew what I had to do. See, I’m the only one who can help.

Now, I have a choice to make. I can either do things the legal way, or the brutal way.

But more importantly, can I convince her that she already belongs to me?

One thing is for certain…I’ll burn this city to the ground to find him and claim her…

Inferno, book two in The Discord Series, is a sexy, dark and angsty, enemies-to-lovers mafia romance featuring a heroine who will stop at nothing to save her son, and the brooding, alpha hero who has to decide between her and the career he worked so hard for. Happily ever after guaranteed.

Be Forewarned***

This is a dark mafia romance. There are dark themes that run throughout this book and some subjects could be triggering. There is a HEA for this couple, but the overall story arc does continue from book to book and ends on a cliffhanger.
cliffhanger.

Inferno is a great addition to the series! The plot thickens and the stakes rise in Dante and Carmela's story, and this book kept me on the edge of my seat.

In Inferno, both main and side characters shine brightly. They are very well-developed, and by the end of the story, I felt invested, not only in Dante's life but in Lucas's, Ciro's, Rocco's, and Tristano's. So many book boyfriends I look forward to getting to know!

If you're a fan of mafia romance but haven't read Havoc and Inferno yet, I highly recommend you do so.

Great continuation of the series!

Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Trope: forced proximity
Angst: 😱😱
Smexy:🔥🔥🔥
Triggers: child trafficking

What a fantastic continuation of the series! Inferno starts with a bang and just keeps going. Tons of action and twists and turn. The character development is phenomenal. I loved Dante ❤. He's so different than his brother. Always smiling and super laid back - except when he's not, lol. Usually in regards to threats against those he considers his family. Likewise, Carmela is about as opposite to Havoc as can be. Super sweet and a caretaker , not a fighter - except when "hers" are threatened. The side characters are all great as well and you really end up wanting stories for than all ❤.

I really love this series and how its intertwined with the MC series. Can't wait for the next book!

Loved it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story was action packed yet still covered the romance, the brothers reuniting, new family members to join the crew and make some orphans happy. No cheating, HEA, no romantic cliffhanger but there is an ongoing threat and a plan to unravel it in the next book. I will be reading it as soon as it gets published. Love the series and the book.

Dante couldn't have deserved a better story!!!

Dante and Carmela physical chemistry is instant. It would be easy just to give into that and leave your heart out, but Dante is a determined man. He doesn't just wnat her once or physically but all of her. It's sexy to watch an alpha male be patient enough and take time to convince the woman he chose a in a moment the time she needs to wrap her head around something more.

and it continues

I wasn’t sure it was possible but I have fallen in love. I have been on an emotional roller coaster and I’m still on it. Love Grumpy Luca and pain Ciro but now there is Rocco. Let’s not forget about the man that loves his Grandma, Tris. I’m worried about Ciro. Off to the next book.

First of all, I'm confused why he couldn't go back to work as a policeman, seeing as he was kidnapped.

Secondly, his personality in the first book is very personable. Even when he's looking for Havoc, who he suspects was taken by Nico, he doesn't really get that fierce in his confrontation. So for his personality to not just change while he's kidnapped but then to stay changed throughout the book was unexpected and didn't feel true to his character.

Thirdly, Nico is just going to welcome this woman he doesn't know and hasn't had a chance to investigate, a woman who used to be the wife of his enemy, to his home on the say-so of his brother? I'd imagine he'd get her a hotel room or something but just let her stay in his house. Now I don't respect him as a mafia boss in the first book.

Seeing what happened to the cop in this book, I'm skipping the next cop's book.

This book was ok. Dante’s personality was better in book 1. I couldn’t connect this character where he tried to be all tough and boss-like with the fun-loving guy from the other book. Carmela was also quite wishy-washy in both her personality and attitude. Is she fierce or timid or a coward? Who knows. Her instinct to run away was annoying. The book had its sweet moments and I enjoyed the ending, but ehhh - overall was ok.

Like this better than book one

At the end of book 1 Dante is taking And now everybody is trying to find him. Carmela is being held against her will but she is trying to do what she can for her son. The characters are very likable especially some of the secondary characters like Ciro and Luca.

Classic HEA

I love a happy ending and a good lore. The world building is excellent and the characters interesting and endearing. The humor sprinkled throughout adds to the realism of the characters.
