Rate this book
Lark Henlon was born under unique circumstances in New Guinea during WWII, her mother a USO entertainer and her father a navy ensign fighting in the Pacific. From the beginning, Lark's existence is entangled with the decisions and judgments, the compulsions and destinies of others. Eventually, she is returned to the U.S. to be united with her father, but again, due to the exigencies of others, the course of her life is altered. Her long quest for love and family bonds, unity within herself and search for understanding and recognition will make her eventual fulfillment as a mature, successful business woman possible.
