Nestled in the tranquil rural landscape near London, I'm a British author whose journey from the world of accounting to the realm of writing has been nothing short of transformative. While I occasionally revisit my numbers-oriented past, my days are predominantly filled with the harmonious dance between crafting compelling narratives and tending to my cherished family—my husband, two children, and a lively household of four cats and one dog
.
In those rare leisure moments, you'll find me lost in the enchanting world of poetry, delighting in the creation (and indulgence) of decadent cakes or fervently capturing moments through the lens of my camera.

Writing emerged as my beacon of hope in navigating the labyrinth of depression and anxiety. My insatiable love for literature and the boundless horizon of travel infuses my tales with the rich tapestry of my adventures. I strive to breathe life into my stories with an air of authenticity that resonates with readers.

Within the pages of my books, you'll encounter heroes exuding charisma and rugged allure, heroines embodying both grace and tenacity, all enveloped in the cloak of dramatic suspense.

Learning to Rule tells the loving story of Prince Dalton and yoga instructor Elodie, after they started their relationship (as told in Learning to Love). While Learning to Love felt more like the kind of story that has been told in so many other books, Learning to Rule is definitely different. It is a surprising, kind and more deeply loving story. Not sweet any more! In this book you get to learn the real Dalton and Elodie, dealing with some serious stuff that has everything to do with the challenges of being King and Queen.

Just like in Learning to Love you get the story of both point of views. Each chapter you switch to the other. This way you get to learn Dalton and Elodie equally. They are very open to you and each other, which results in great affections for both. Dalton is no longer the stubborn bad boy that gets into trouble. He is the real thing. Expect a surprising, exploding event at the beginning, working its way toward Dalton and Elodie growing even closer to each other and doing 'the right thing' for their people. They really get involved in the life of others, setting a great example for all of us. Learning to Rule will make you smile and feel at so many times.

Learning to Love & Learning to Rule

I loved this duet so much, I should start buying all my books blind! (I got this as a "blind date with a book" at Authors at the Armouries 2023). I am so glad they were both together as I was desperate to continue after Book 1!!

So, Book 1 has the enemies to lovers vibes; yoga teacher meets prince and sparks fly - angry sparks! How dare he take over an entire hotel and stop her yoga class? Of course, she's not going to let him get away with that, no matter who he is...

In Book 2, things are getting serious when Elodie meets Dalton's parents, a.k.a. the King & Queen. They are every bit as ghastly as Dalton has described, but there is more drama yet to come. I don't want to give any spoilers, but this one has some mouth-drop-open moments!

It's a love story with royalty, romance, drama and rules made to be broken.

If you get any sudden UK sales, it's probably thanks to me - I've been telling the ladies at the spa reception all about it each day on my way in!

Highly recommend! So enjoyable!

Wow. Just wow. Anna Edwards definitely brought it with Dalton and Elodie. We really get to see their growth, especially Dalton's, in this book. And we get to see the innate strength and courage that Elodie has.

I really hate Dalton's father. He is such a prick, and he doesn't have the best interest of anyone other than him in mind, and as the leader of a country, he really should, right? I hate what he does to Dalton and Elodie, and everyone else.

I really cheered for Dalton and how he was ready to stand up to his father and how he shakes everything up.

Learning To Rule is the second book in the Learning To duet and the conclusion to Dalton and Elodie’s love story. It continues on from the shocking ending of Leaning To Love and we find out what the King has up his sleeve to try and make Elodie leave Janastria.

They face an uphill battle to convince his parents to accept Elodie as his girlfriend. Dalton so happy he has found love that he tells his father it’s more important to him than his duty as a Prince. The King gives them an ultimatum and it is up to Elodie to prove she worthy and understands the protocol of being a member of the royal court. The King makes it difficult but Hinchbootie has prepared her well. She determined to survive all that is thrown at her because she knows Dalton worships her and he will be the reason she’ll cope with it all.

“I know now I can’t live without you.”

The Wooodrows who we met in the first book are great supporters of Dalton and Elodie, and offer to help them because they approve of the relationship. As Prime Minister he has some great ideas for improving Janastria and grateful Dalton interested in his views and opinions. His wife helps Elodie in her battle with the King and proves a good friend later in the story.

She returns to Florida when it all becomes too intense and she isn’t sure she has the strength to be the princess Dalton needs by his side. They reluctantly agree some time apart would be beneficial for them both but quickly realise it was the wrong decision and a big mistake. She loves him so much and knows she only walked away as scared of his way of life and the responsibilities involved.

Dalton knows when it is his turn to be King he must right the wrongs of his father, wipe the slate clean and build a new future for his country. He doesn’t know if he will be able to rule his country as it’s in such a mess. He is so scared and needs Elodie’s help as she is full of humanity and can teach him how to be better than his father and therefore a better King for his country. While she is away the King has his official birthday parade and all hell breaks lose and changes their lives forever.

“To rule the country as it should be. We only need each other.”

Fun interactions with her yoga group and the scenes at the children’s centre are so endearing. The best character in the book by far is the wonderful Hinchbootie. He is always in the background helping and advising the couple. I loved his suppressed giggles when Elodie stood up for herself and the author gives him an ending befitting the gentleman he was in both books, so happy for him.

Will she be the perfect Queen he needs? Can they make the country better together?
There are two really good twists during the story. One is Marianne’s secret and why she agreed to the KIng’s demands. Second is the security incident and all the outcomes which follow that event.
I loved that Elodie proves she is not a push over, really stands up for herself and what she wants.
Dalton was a delight and will be a great King. Overall this is a really sweet read with a happy ending for everyone involved.

What a stunning conclusion this was to the Learning To Duet by Anna Edwards. Dalton and Elodie have captured my heart with their wonderful story of two people from two very different worlds but have fallen in love and want to be together and make a difference in the world. In this book they are faced with strong opposition from Dalton’s father but when fate intervenes they are faced with the reality that Dalton can lead his country and truly make a difference. I love both these characters and their fairytale romance had me bewitched once again. I was so eager to read this second book and I an say I was not disappointed. A beautiful story from Ms Edwards that will have you falling in love with Elodie and Dalton and wanting so much more.

I received an arc copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Learning to Rule, the conclusion to Dalton and Elodie's story and what a conclusion it was.

Dalton and Elodie have a lot of hurdles to get over to be together and get the approval of Dalton's parents, mainly his father who doesn't think Elodie is the right fit for the Royal Family. But with Dalton's support, Elodie is about to prove him wrong!

I adored Elodie and Dalton in this part. Their need to help those less fortunate. Their want to right all the wrongs of the past. Their love for each other. Their characters grew so much throughout.

The Learning To duet is a fantastic read. It had me engrossed from the start, had me eager for the conclusion and had me wanting even more from Dalton and Elodie at the end of their story.

We were left off on a cliffhanger with Learning to Love (book 1) and this book jumped right off at that spot. There are high emotions and equally high stakes for Elodie and Prince Dalton. Both are trying to prove themselves to be up to Royal responsibilities and duties without really knowing what they are stepping into. Circumstances seem to be trying to push them apart but will their newly found love for one another be greater than the outside forces and unknowns they face?
I enjoyed the characters of Elodie and Dalton very much through out this duet series. Getting a chance to see how they can help each other in different ways, though I did feel that Elodie was able to help Dalton much more. I would love to see more from this world and the other side characters.

Conclusion to the duet of Dalton and Elodie. Dalton is a prince who met Elodie while in Florida. Elodie is a yoga teacher.

In this book, Prince Dalton has brought Elodie to his home country to further their relationship while showing her his country. Also for his parents approval. Elodie and 5e King clash after he berates her even though she has bested him in every test he put her through.

In the end, the assassination of the king, and the installment of Dalton and Elodie as King and Queen brings about great changes to the country, and the common people have their livelihoods returned as Dalton and Elodie work with the Prime Minister to right the wrongs of the previous king and corrupt parliament.

The conclusion to Dalton and Elodie’s hard fought journey.
Both of them must now prove that they are up to the responsibilities and duties that will go along with ruling the country.
Not only do they have to do right by the country they have to prove themselves to the King.
The King isn’t making it easy.
He doesn’t see Elodie as worthy so he doesn’t approve of her.
And he certainly will not be anything easy for them.
Circumstances and situations are not playing into their favor either.
But they do have allies supporting them and standing by their side.
There is no way not to love and cheer for these amazing characters.

Anna does not let you down as she continues Elodie and Dalton’s story. Elodie and Dalton are the perfect couple, personally and for ruling. The degradation of Janastria’s people and economy was at the hands of Dalton’s father, the king. Elodie helped Dalton’s kindness and caring traits bloom. Unexpected, Dalton was thrown into being the king. Dalton and Elodie worked hard to right the wrongs his father had done to Janastria and her people. The timing of this HEA is so perfect. We all need that and Anna does not let you down. I received the book for my honest review.

I loved this book. It is the second book in this series. I highly suggest reading the previous book first to help with your enjoyment of the characters and the story. This is the conclusion to Elodie and Dalton's story. What a story it is! Anything you could want in a romance story, you will find in this book and this series. The characters are relateable and really made the story for me. I loved watching the growth between them and their chemistry is off the charts. They brought the story to life and you dont want to miss it. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This is a brilliant conclusion to the duet.
Elodie and Dalton are now in his home country but when his father finds out that he intends to marry her he makes their lives hell.
Will Elodie make it through all the trials?
The country is in desperate need for change but can they make it happen with his father still ruling.
So much drama and full of emotion but also so much love.
A brilliant ending.

Dalton and Elodie go through a lot as they deal with Dalton's family while trying to make things better for the people of Janastria at the same time. I loved how protective Dalton and Elodie were over each other and how they worked together and grew into their rightful places in the family. Learning To Rule is the second book in the Learning To Duet and what a great conclusion to Dalton and Elodie's journey of love. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

This book is the conclusion of Elodie and Dalton's story. You must read book one, Learning To Love first. You can certainly expect your heart to get a bit of a workout, as these two strive towards their HEA and face many obstacles along the way. In the end Dalton and Elodie had no problem stealing my heart. An excellent romance and a great duet of reads. This is my volitional forthright review.

Elodie and Dalton return and give us what we craved for them; their happiness. This had a lot of drama, especially from Dalton's father. Through it all though, I loved Dalton's determination to be with Elodie. They go through a lot of growth which was wonderful and in the end I had a big smile on my face.
