Nestled in the tranquil rural landscape near London, I'm a British author whose journey from the world of accounting to the realm of writing has been nothing short of transformative. While I occasionally revisit my numbers-oriented past, my days are predominantly filled with the harmonious dance between crafting compelling narratives and tending to my cherished family—my husband, two children, and a lively household of four cats and one dog . In those rare leisure moments, you'll find me lost in the enchanting world of poetry, delighting in the creation (and indulgence) of decadent cakes or fervently capturing moments through the lens of my camera.
Writing emerged as my beacon of hope in navigating the labyrinth of depression and anxiety. My insatiable love for literature and the boundless horizon of travel infuses my tales with the rich tapestry of my adventures. I strive to breathe life into my stories with an air of authenticity that resonates with readers.
Within the pages of my books, you'll encounter heroes exuding charisma and rugged allure, heroines embodying both grace and tenacity, all enveloped in the cloak of dramatic suspense.
This isn't one of Anna Edwards' darker stories, so if you are looking for dark and intense, this is not that. It still has intensity, and it is sexy AF, and there is some humor in it.
I love how Elodie stands up to Dalton. She isn't about to let him run her over, and I think that is really awesome. Dalton needs someone to tell him no more often. But she isn't mean or rude to him because she is a really good person. I can feel the warmth and love that she has just floating through her, and it makes her a joy.
I think that Dalton is really underrated by his parents. I really don't like them at all, especially his dad. I think that Dalton has so much potential, but his parents have never tried to help him meet that potential or even to discover that he's an actual human.
This was a fun read between two completely opposite people. I loved Elodie's Zen and want to be her when I grow up. I had a hard time with Dalton as he came off being so spoiled but the author does a great job of showing his other side and the reasons for the way that he is. Their chemistry, even when they are going back and forth, was electric and I had fun reading this. Now I am intrigued as to where the story goes next.
Learning to Love tells the loving story of two stubborn people who find each other in work-outs. At the same time is also a rather classic story: a bad behaving Prince, Dalton, gets sent away by his father, meets this girl Elodie and she changes his life. Don’t expect a surprising, all new story. But is funny, sweet and loving for sure.
In Learning to Love you get the point of view of both sides. In the beginning Dalton seems like your spoiled prince who has everything in life. Thanks to Elodie, stubborn and ready to fight him off, you get to know him better. It must be tough to be a real Prince, living up to all the expectations your family has of you. No news over here, but Dalton brings his own background to the story, different from the other princes. So while Learning to Love is your very own opposites-attracts story, it still has its unique features. And it is well written for sure, you will just keep on reading!
His Royal Highness Prince Dalton Frederick William Albert of Janastria has lead a privileged life, but one absent of love. His emotionally distant parents, King Frederick and Queen Stephanie, prepare him to be the future King, following tradition, protocol and expectations. King Frederick and Queen Stephanie's was a marriage of convenience. She is not maternal, doing her royal duty to produce an heir, but then spending her time with her lovers and drinking. King Frederick is demanding and formal, making Prince Dalton walk behind him, and making him bow to him and greet him formally as "his Majesty." When Prince Dalton's behavior finally crosses the line, he is sent to America to the Serendipity Resort to learn who was expected form a member of the Janastrian royal family. His arrival disrupts the resorts normal activities, including the yoga classes taught by Elodie Nash.
When Elodie and Dalton first meet, sparks fly, but sparks of resentment. Elodie declares "I will get my studio and my livelihood back if it's the last thing I do!" Elodie, who recently lost her parents, has been rebuilding her life by teaching yoga and helping people with mental or physical disabilities. It gives her something to live for. Dalton comes to her yoga class and starts his own rehabilitation, listening to his own body, making his own choices, finding his own path. As Elodie and Daltons forge their friendship and their romantic relationship, she helps him take a stand against his father and to redefine his role in the royal family.
Learning to Love is the first book in the new Learning To Duet from Anna Edwards. It's a contemporary royal romance that has an enemy to lovers feel to it.
Dalton, Prince of Janastria has let his parents down one to many times and the embarrassment of the last time is enough to have him sent away where he can't do any more damage while he learns how to behave as a Prince should. Elodie Nash, is a yoga instructor at Serendipity spa and she loves her job. All is going smoothly until her classes are cancelled due to an exclusive customer who has taken over her space.
I loved Elodie and Dalton. I especially liked Elodie not letting Dalton push her around. She is a strong and determined woman, who has had to grow up pretty quickly. That she made Dalton work for her attention, not fawning over him like other women would have. Also how Dalton does want to change for himself and not just at the request of his parents. Or to impress a woman. I love Mr Hinchbottom too. He's the father figure Dalton needs.
Learning to Love is a captivating read that had my attention from the start, with a great storyline and loveable characters (except the royals). I'm looking forward to reading Learning to Rule to see how Dalton and Elodie's story plays out.
Learning to love is the first book in the Learning To duet by Anna Edwards. I really enjoyed reading about Elodie and Dalton. Dalton comes off as this super spoiled arrogant prince who only cares for himself. While easy on the eyes he was kind of a DoucheCanoe. I liked his character progression as the story went on. We learn why he is the way he is and you can’t help but feel bad for him. Elodie is a fantastic heroine! She’s a well educated Yoga instructor so we get that zen side of her, but Elodie has a backbone and that Sass sure puts Dalton in his place! I like the enemies to lovers feel, with them coming from such different backgrounds, Anna did a great job showing them finding common ground and connecting to one another. Not gonna lie, Mr. Hinchbottom might be my favorite character in the book, I’m so happy he’s there for both Dalton and Elodie. Great characters, interesting storyline, and yummy steamy scenes. This is a duet so I’m interested to see where the story goes in the second book. I do like that this is more of a Happy For Now and not a complete Cliffhanger... but I obviously want to see what happens next! ARC graciously given by the author via StoryOrigin. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
4.5 stars This is the first book in the Learning to Duet series and it is an enjoyable read with an opposites attract feel. Dalton is a spoiled prince who has tested his father one too many times to the point where he is actually exiled to find a way to grow up and be respectable. Elodie is a strong woman who uses yoga to guide her life and keep her sane. When Dalton moves to Florida and tries to usurp Elodie’s yoga studio space, she has two barrels loaded and is ready to fight for her yoga space and her clients. Who will come out victorious? Adding to the ambiance is the inclusion of some secondary characters that give Dalton the guidance he desperately needs along with Elodie’s no nonsense, in your face truth telling just fuels the fire that is burning between them. Overall, this is one well written story with all the feels that will hold one’s attention from the beginning. It gives readers a warm feeling as they follow along with Elodie and Dalton on their journey of self- discovery. It does end in a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to see what happens next. I volunteered to read a copy of this book provided by Story Origin.
A really nice little weekend read. It was an enemies to lovers, however given that it was just 200 pages the enemies to lovers happened almost instantly and there was no build up. They had one tiff about the yoga studio and next thing they were working out a relationship.
Both characters were good, a pillar opposite with Elodie being your regular girl with a the trauma of losing her parents and Dalton the prince of a European country sent to America after being a play boy. You see both their lives come together and on some occasions Dalton is seen as a privileged pear and others you see his sister side and the loveless parents he has.
My absolute favourite character was Hinchibootie, Daltons minder/secretary he was a background character but was quietly supportive and caring towards Dalton. Better than his parents.
There were some sex scenes too, but they were short and not too spicy - I think that was down to it being a shorter book.
I really did enjoy it and it ends with Dalton storing out the kings palace (his father) saying love is more important that duty.
I will be reading book 2 to see how they navigate their love life and living as a prince and princess.

This was a lovely romantic story about how a strongheaded young woman manages to convert a man who is not used to think for himself to a conscious and well behaved alpha male. I loved Elodie’s feistiness and levelheadedness to convince this prince that he made everyone miserable in what she considered her happy place. I loved this book and I am so looking forward to book 2!! This is what this book is about: All Elodie Nash wants to do is her yoga lessons in peace. Still when she's unceremoniously kicked out of her studio by an arrogant as hell prince, she's not about to let him win. Will Elodie be cunning enough to beat Dalton at his own game.
Dalton Grant is handsome, rich, and he knows it. When he's caught with his pants down in a royal scandal, he's dispatched to the solitude of Serendipity to learn how to behave appropriately. He has no plans on listening until Elodie becomes the first person to go against his demands.
Will Elodie and Dalton overcome the hatred between them to see the love they could have?
I enjoyed this book very much by Anna Edwards. The story of Prince Dalton and Elodie was a beautiful story of two people from very different worlds coming together when Prince Dalton is exiled from his country due to his outlandish playboy ways that his father has had enough of. It is almost a friend to lovers story because at first Elodie does not like the Prince but over time he wears her down and when she finally gives him a chance a blossoming relationship develops. Prince Dalton is willing to leaving everything behind to be with Elodie especially when his parents don’t approve of Elodie. I am so glad I gave this story a chance because it was quite enchanting and a pleasure to read. Loved all the characters and I especially loved that both Elodie and the Prince were strong and ready to stand up for their beliefs. I recommend this book and you will be very pleasantly surprised. Look forward to the next book in this duet.
I received an arc copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Learning To Love is the first book in the Leaning To Duet. Enemies to lovers, opposites attract, royal romance story told in dual POV by Elodie Nash and Dalton Grant. Set in the peaceful small spa resort of Serendipity where Elodie has grown up and is now the yoga instructor.
Dalton wanted to enjoy himself before the serious task of being King. He rebelling as never has a choice in anything he does. His playboy attitude has given him a reputation but when he is caught up in another scandal, his father has had enough. The King packs him off to Serendipity with his personal assistant Mr Hinchbottom to redeem himself and learn how to behave.
Elodie is sassy and determined, with a great outlook on life since experiencing heartbreak a few years ago. When all her classes are cancelled due to an exclusive guest taking over the resort she is very unhappy and goes in search of him. She puts the arrogant gentleman in his place from the get go which astonishes and entertains him. However, he turns out to be HRH Prince Dalton Frederick William Albert of Janastria.
“The game isn’t over yet, Miss Nash, and I never lose.”
Their connection is immediate when she stands up to him because he is not used to people treating him that way and not bending to his demands. She intrigues him and he fascinated over why she hates him. He knows something is happening between them so he has to make an effort and get to know her. He wants to be a good King so needs to get his act together and realises Elodie can help him. I laughed when she refused to be another notch on his bedpost!
“I do know yoga can be freeing, but free is something I’ll never be!”
The author nicely shows Dalton improving both in behaviour and attitude during the story. As she tells us more about him, you do start to feel sorry for him and how he doesn’t have to think for himself as always had someone to do it for him. Elodie is impressive with her understanding of him and how she tackles teaching him to be the man he needs to be for his people. It’s so sweet how she shows him the fun, love and affection he’s never experienced. She so good for him and brings him to life as he weighed down by his responsibilities.
“You’re perfect for me because you help me to understand myself.”
What a great character Mr Hinchbottom was. I loved the way he dealt with Dalton and appreciated the effect Elodie had on him. I liked the contrast between how he interacted with Dalton compared to how his parents acted. The effect of the press on their blossoming relationship was very realistic.
On the whole I enjoyed the story and seeing how Elodie coped with what is involved with dating a royal. I was a little unsure of the timeline at times and disappointed right at the end when what Elodie did surprised me, after all she said about her plans for going forward with him. We do get a great unexpected cliffhanger which will leave you gasping and waiting for the second part of the duet to see what happens to the couple.

Ms. Edwards is a new-to-me author and I always enjoy finding new authors to follow. This is the first book of the Learning to Duet Book series. This is a sort of enemies to lovers story where opposites attract. The story is told in dual point of view, which I enjoyed because I like knowing what each character is thinking. Elodie is a great character, feisty and independent. She butts heads with Dalton when he takes over the spa where she teaches yoga and her classes get cancelled. You can definitely feel the sparks bouncing off the pages when she confronts him. Their chemistry is sizzling and strong. Her strong and independent nature catches Dalton's interest and intrigues him. The author did a nice job of creating a story and characters that are interesting and relatable. Wonderful characters and an engaging storyline will keep you captivated till the end. Looking forward to reading more by this author!
I received a complimentary copy from StoryOrigin and am voluntarily leaving my review.
I loved this duet so much, I should start buying all my books blind! (I got this as a "blind date with a book" at Authors at the Armouries 2023). I am so glad they were both together as I was desperate to continue after Book 1!!
So, Book 1 has the enemies to lovers vibes; yoga teacher meets prince and sparks fly - angry sparks! How dare he take over an entire hotel and stop her yoga class? Of course, she's not going to let him get away with that, no matter who he is...
In Book 2, things are getting serious when Elodie meets Dalton's parents, a.k.a. the King & Queen. They are every bit as ghastly as Dalton has described, but there is more drama yet to come. I don't want to give any spoilers, but this one has some mouth-drop-open moments!
It's a love story with royalty, romance, drama and rules made to be broken.
If you get any sudden UK sales, it's probably thanks to me - I've been telling the ladies at the spa reception all about it each day on my way in!
I absolutely loved Elodie and Dalton’s story. Dalton’s nature was to be expected when you are born and raised in an environment without love, affection, and greed. Dalton behaved as one would expect being raised in such an environment. The best thing the king did for Dalton was to send him to Florida to get his act together. Elodie…love you girl! Elodie is the opposite of Dalton with her primary concern is the caring treatment of others. Dalton had goodness deep inside. Elodie watered that goodness so that it would grow. The strength and conviction in Elodie to be true to herself is so true for each of us. Finding that partner to compliment and support our true self is one of life’s greatest joys. I am so glad Anna told this story. It warmed my heart reading it. I received the book for my honest review.
This is the 1st story in the duet and is Dalton and Elodie’s story. Dalton is a Prince, and his behaviour is damaging the crown, so he is sent to Serendipity for the solitude, and to do damage control on his reputation. Elodie is a yoga instructor in the Spa, and she loves her job until her classes are cancelled for an exclusive client. The sparks fly when these two meets and they are total opposites, and Elodie is no wallflower, she gives as good as she gets. Thing’s chance and Dalton wants to be a better person because of Elodie. What will happen when he must return home? This is a well written flawless story which had me hooked and intrigued throughout this entertaining and steamy tale, and I look forward to reading the 2nd part of this amazing duet. I highly recommend this talented author’s work.
I found myself quite intrigued by the first book in this duet. Elodie and Dalton made quite the pair with their stark differences and clashing objectives. While I thought that Dalton came across as fairly typical, there was no doubting his appeal. I also found that I could feel sympathy towards him. I am 100% sure that it is very hard to live your life under the scrutiny and expectations of not only your family but the world. Elodie was a real bright spot. I loved her spunkiness and backbone of steel. She was more than a match Prince Dalton. I can't wait to read the conclusion of this couple's story in book two. This is my frank, freely posted review.
I loved this romance story. This is an author that I have loved reading from the first book I picked up by her. She writes with heart and her attention to detail makes the story feel realistic. This book is no different. This is a great book that is well written that has characters that not only are relateable but also have alot of emotion. This is Elodie and Dalton's story. Their story is one of hatrid but given a chance they just might find love. I loved watching their relationship grow and they were so great together. I highly recommend this book and this author.
Dalton and Elodie start out as enemies when Dalton shows up at the spa and cancels her classes. These two come from completely different worlds but are perfectly matched in this captivating read. I loved that she stood up to him and how he wasn't used to her reaction to him. The storyline is great and well written. The characters are believable and I loved their back and forth banter. I can't wait to read the next book in this duet to find out how Dalton and Elodie's story concludes. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This is a brilliant read and the first book in a duet. Elodie loves doing her yoga but when her classes are all cancelled because of an exclusive guest she is fuming. Dalton is a disgraced Prince who has been sent away to stop the headlines about his antics out of the papers. They don't like each other but the chemistry between them is electric. What happens when he has to return home? Loved reading this book and look forward to the conclusion of their love story. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Dalton is a Prince and Elodie a Yoga instructor. Despite Elodie thinking he is a stuck up entitled snob when they first encounter each other it's proof that opposites attract.
Elodie is just what Dalton needs to center his party ways but being a Prince isn't all its cracked up to be and everything comes at a price. Will Elodie be able to fit into the Elite lifestyle or will traditions be the end of them.
Well written book of opposites attract royal type romance. Dalton is the rich spoiled does what he wants prince. When he takes his exploits a step too far, his father the King exiles him. Elodie is kind and considerate. She’s always looking out for others. Except when it comes to Dalton. She won’t let him push her around or order her about. There is also more to Dalton than meets the eye. Elodie and Dalton’s banter and back and further makes for a fun entertaining read.
Dalton and Elodie’s story was interesting. I enjoyed the way they met and the plot was intriguing. I do look forward to reading the next installment. What I felt it was lacking was feeling. Though, I enjoyed the characters, I didn’t feel connected emotionally, and that’s what I’d like to experience in the next book.
I really enjoyed this the characters are well written with alot of emotions going on being two opposites one spoiled and the other mature enough to know what she wants so they clash. I love the banter and your right there with them feeling it all. I am looking forward to find out what happens.
The storyline is well written and entertaining with an easy flow throughout the pages. The characters are interesting and engaging keeping me hooked from the beginning to the end.
I received a copy and am voluntary leaving my honest review.
No longer a grumpy royal but finding what he was missing in life gave Dalton exactly what he needed. He finally found someone who would love him for who he was not his position. Such a wonderful story!
Dalton and Elody are so great together. Difficult beginnings but hot in the end. The royal life won’t be easy for Elody but love will win. Can’t wait for the next one.
