Short stories have always been my go-to reading stuff since childhood. From reading them during library classes to getting short story collection books as gifts and prizes, from reading them in our textbooks to picking them up during reading slumps – they have always been an integral part of my reading journey. And that is why I knew that I had to get my hands on this book.
“The Best Short Stories Ever” is a compilation of 41 short stories written by people from all over the world, each story being a masterpiece in itself. The compilation includes the works of Edgar Allan Poe, Mark Twain, Virginia Woolf, O Henry, Guy de Maupassant, and many more such prolific men and women of literature.
These stories will take you through a maze of emotions, letting you travel in time and experience a world unknown to most of us. These stories are classics and as you go through them one at a time you will realize why indeed they are some of the best short stories to have ever been penned.
Highly recommended to everyone who is a literature enthusiast.

Short stories have been my absolute favorites right since I was a kid. It was only natural for me to want to write short stories and I did write plenty and even published some. Like Stephen King said, "A Short Story is like a kiss in the dark." It dazzles you and them leaves you asking for more. When done right, short stories can have some really powerful narratives within a limited space. As a reader, I'm always looking for more short stories to read. So when I was offered a copy of 'Best Short Stories Ever' by Rupa Publications, I was more than thrilled. I loved the diverse collection on here!
Almost all of the stories I read here were new to me. However, I also came across classics I read ages ago, so it was a wonderful time. Moreover, in the hectic life that I am living now, short stories seem to be the best genre for me to pick up!
