Crystel is a mother to two beautiful boys, a wife, an active member of her community, a Technology Consultant, and an author. In January 2021, she self-published her first children’s book, which kicked off her book series entitled "Inspired to be...". Inspiring for both kids and parents.

I love how this book connects starting small to going big. Often big accomplishments can feel far off or unattainable for young children, but this book shows children that they might already be on their way to success with something they are already doing. This book is also an important lesson for adults, because instead of seeing a problem with the child flipping around inside the house, the mother saw her child’s potential and channeled it wisely.

Excellent rhyming book that flows from beginning to end

This is an excellent rhyming book that is fun and easy to read. It has a great flow to it and the repetitive use of “one flip, two flip, three flip, four” is lots of fun to say. It is inspired by the tru story of Gabby Douglas, the first African America to win the Individual All Round Championship at age 16! Very inspiring story!
