Ghost stories from the Scenic City have never been so creepy, fun, and full of mystery! The haunted history of Chattanooga comes to life--even when the main players are dead. Dare to visit Raccoon Mountain Caverns to see if a ghostly night watchman returns for his shift. See the spirits who haunt several area schools. Or explore the Chickamauga Battlefield to learn Civil War history--and perhaps meet the ghosts of fallen soldiers. Dive into this spooky chapter book for suspenseful tales of bumps in the night, paranormal investigations, and the unexplained; just be sure to keep the light on.
I am a counselor and writer who lives in Alabama with my dogs, cats, children, and other strange creatures. I am an autistic therapist and autism advocate that loses herself in hyperfixations and glimmers and writes books about them.
I read this to prepare me to write a newsletter article for October. It was an interesting and fun book for young readers that was adapted from the adult Haunted Chattanooga version. I am skimming that one now. If you’re into ghost stories and the unexplainable then I recommend the series.
Been looking for books like this so I can learn about the places where I live. Loved it!! I did not realize there were so many places. Now I just need to figure out where they are and visit if they are still around. A must read
