Accused of being an eternal optimist, I was born and raised in the Midwest and migrated to the Pacific Northwest a few years ago. I began spinning tales of intrigue and adventure when I was in grade school, and wrote my first book when I was eleven — a thriller that ended with a mysterious phone call the reader never heard!

My college sweetheart and I have been married for over 20 years and are blessed with two wonderful sons, a bossy kitty and feisty Golden Retriever.

When not dreaming up inspirational tales, I’m usually out hiking in the Cascade Mountains, enjoying a fine cup of tea with friends, or hiding out in a movie theatre. I love to hear from readers! hopewhiteauthor@gmail.com

This book started off really good then it went off the rails. First no character description, then they decide to call Brie "Sara", but they stopped calling her Sara, and started calling her Brie or Brianna. Jacob was waling to Brie to her cabin and the next thing they are both kidnapped. It jumped too much.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Wilderness Hideout. This is the first book in the series, A Boulder Creek Ranch, This story is well-written, action-packed, and full of suspense, I know you are going to love this one.

Dr. Brianna Wilkes wakes up in the middle of a wilderness. Unable to remember why she is here but hearing men's voices saying she is down there. A voice in her head says "run" but as she stands her ankle gives out. Panic rages, why is she in danger? With a stick for a crutch she heads for the trail but a man catches up with her. He tells her that he is her security guard. In a tussle, she falls into the river. She is pulled out by a strange man. Can he help her?

Jacob Rush is a single father. He is on a personal retreat when he hears a woman scream. He sees her tumble into the river. The man with her doesn't even attempt to help her. He managed to pull the young woman from the river. She has a head wound and can't remember what has happened to her.

A horrific journey running from killers. He brings her home, now his daughter is also in danger. God has a plan for them, a good plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan for peace and not for destruction. Give Him your heart and watch Him work in your life.

“Wilderness Hideout” begins the Boulder Creek Ranch series by Hope White.

Someone is after Dr. Brianna Wilkes and, in the process of being chased, she loses part of her memory. Jacob Rush comes to her aid and knows it’s up to him to protect her. Brie, having had a rough childhood has learned to take care of herself and wants to protect Jacob and his family from whoever is after her research.

Ms. White has created a heroine that reminds me of the main character in the TV show “Bones”, a show I liked a lot. Jacob, with his compassionate heart, at times seemed to worry too much about how his “family” thought of him.
Overall, I enjoyed “Wilderness Hideout” and wonder who will be in the next book of the series.

Great intro to a series

This story has tons of twists and turns. Brianne is lost in the wilderness when she realizes some men are after her. After she falls into the river, Jacob spies her and saved her. He takes her back to the ranch he works on after more attempts are made in her. There are great secondary characters that I hope will get their story too.

The pace is breakneck and the tone is uncertain yet hopeful with an action and character oriented storyline that has no steam at all. The characters are vibrant and engaging. The Christian values are woven into the story and don't seem to be just added in. This is an action packed story with Christian characters. Enjoy!

Why couldn't Dr. Briana Wilkes remember how she ended up by a Montana river with men chasing her? Should she trust Jacob Rush to get her to safety or to keep her safe at his ranch?

I found "Wilderness Hideout," the first story of the Boulder Creek Ranch by Hope White, to be as exciting as a white water ride. She has a great element of mystery as well as the excitement typical of Love Inspired Suspense stories.

I recommend this book, and look forward to the next novel in the series.

This is the first book in Hope White’s Boulder Creek Ranch series. It is well written, has good characters, and enough secondary characters to fill several books.

Jacob Rush is out riding and hears a scream. He finds Dr. Brianna Wilkes fighting her way in the river. He rescues her and the action starts. Someone is after her, but she has a head injury and doesn’t remember why she is in the river, or why anyone is trying to kill her!

Good book, surprise ending

Brie is a researcher working on how to stop immune system diseases without drugs, someone doesn't want her research to become public, but who?
After suffering a brain injury from being chased and attacked, she us saved by Jacob, a single dad who truly believes in God. Can ge save Brie not only from whomever is trying to stop her research, but from the demons from her childhood?

Suspense/Mystery/Faith

A great suspense that keeps you guessing until the end. Brie visits Montana for work , but ends up with more than expected. Jacob left Detroit to meet and care for a precious daughter he knew nothing about. Trust is hard for Brie, but suddenly thrown into an unknown place with a traumatic brain injury she must learn to trust someone.
A great read!

Interesting story and I recommend.

What I loved most was the heroine trying to find a cure for autoimmune disease. This was a little different than a lot of other suspense I've read, and this captured my attention.

Lots of action and danger.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4 for Goodreads. This was an interesting read. I had a bit of trouble connecting to the characters and the story didn’t fully click for me but I enjoyed it and Miri is adorable!

I’m a fan of thrillers, but not sure what possessed me to read this. Not really a thriller. “Love inspired suspense, inspirational romance.” Not my cup of tea.

It had a decent story. The main character was a little annoying because it was just a continuous cycle in her decision making. I figured out who was behind everything 2/3 to 3/4 of the way into the book.

This is one of my favorite books. The characters in this story really tug at your heartstrings! Brianna and her feisty personality really knew how to keep her romantic interest on his toes! This was a real page turner, I spent many nights reading multiple chapters at once, some nights I barely got sleep. Hope White does a good job setting the scene, letting the reader's imagination form images in their heads like a play! I kept routing for Jacob to win over Brianna's trust. Typically I would donate my books to a little library once I finished reading them, but this one I put back on my shelf to be read again. If you like twisting romances, and suspenseful moments! This is the book for you!
