Finding her feet in the world of celebrity, Mysty is forced to acknowledge Daryl’s attentiveness, and begins to realise they are perhaps more similar than they are different. Her relationship with Donny comes to a head when it becomes clear sending her to LA wasn’t enough to save her from his dark connections. Daryl is more than willing to step into the void but the reality of the girl is far more than he was anticipating, and he finds himself on a learning curve similar to the ones she faces thanks to his contract... The backdrop to these scenes are, despite wishing otherwise, Mysty’s introduction to the world of politics, and she realises that as both an asset and a pawn she’d better wise-up fast in a world that wants to possess everything she has – including her genetic make-up. The once-lost girl, who has so far captured the world’s imagination, adoration and respect, realises that with her growing fame, she has the chance to use her status for the greater good. Her days living in the shadows are gone – she has to step boldly into the light. In this important stage of her journey, she realises that there is no protection in fame; the world of the spotlight can be just as ruthless as any she found in the shadows in Vegas with Donny. She must also acknowledge that her beloved mob boss is not the only man capable of making her heart race, when Daryl begins to get under her skin. She has to accept there is no one better placed to protect her. Could it be that despite their turbulent start, there could be anunderstanding between them?
When I turned the last page, my jaw dropped at the thought of having to wait (a year probably, since I bought it as soon as it was released) to know what happens next. This is how engaging the book is.
Although book 1 remains my favourite, I think Indigo Dares can be easily read even without reading the previous books.
The book contains some elements of violence though, and if you are highly emphatic, be ready to go through lots of emotions (including deep sorrow) with Mysty.
Lastly, I was lucky enough to buy a signed copy, and @srsummers_author (this is her IG profile, where I learnt I could request that) was super kind and wrote a personalised message too!
Indigo Dares the 3rd book of 8 books of Infinity Square. Mysty is now 17 and continues to grow her skills which are almost superhuman and it's hard to believe the knowledge she has, setting up her own empire and mixing with the President of the USA 🇺🇸 Sad that it's ended as l purchased the book instantly it came out, now will have to wait perhaps a year for the next edition. I met the author on Instagram and its really nice to be able to interact with her as she is not stuck up and very friendly and I hope to meet her one day in her Coffee shop in Lemington Spa. I would definitely urge you to purchase the very first book and then you will be hooked, this book ticks all the boxes, bit raunchy and can be violent but has a soft side. In the book there are various songs that are played and it's a nice touch to be able to get the actual playlist on Spotify and play them as you read the books, really sets the scene. Can't wait a year!

Indigo Dares is the next thrilling instalment of the infinity squared series. Within which we see the central character Mysty continue to blossom into a truly remarkable woman. A story that in my opinion may be more gripping than its predecessor indigo star. True to the others this is another large book, but well worth the effort with a combination of action and emotion throughout – a welcome escape from reality as Mysty is yet again superhuman in her activities and yet still so human in many other aspects. We see her negotiate the complications and benefits of stardom, whilst coming to terms with altogether more adult issues, such as parties, sexuality, adult photoshoots, and of course male interest. Personally, I found the deepening yet complicated relationship between Mysty and her manager to be the most gripping aspect of this next chapter in the story, a true rollercoaster of emotions that is bound to have you on the edge of your seat.
Love, lust, betrayal, heartbreak, romance, danger, success....you name it, this book has it. I love this series and yet again, the author has delivered a phenomenal book which fully immerses you in this crazy, fantastic world where nothing is as simple as it seems. There are whole new depths to some of these characters and I can't wait to see where this story goes now...
