An easy read with a lot of good tips. This is a good intro guide for people looking to develop their leadership skills.

This was made to be a workbook but I found that I meditated on the ideas after each chapter instead of doing the journal entries. I think if you are serious about your journey to become more authentic in the workplace (and all aspects of your life) this is a perfect read for framing situations/reactions.

The scope was quite big and at times and the examples were a bit ambiguous.
- For scope, you have a book dedicated to leadership at work but there was also some commentary for personal as well. I think if this could be narrowed down or expanded in a second book it would make it a more cohesive read.
- For examples, I wish there was a more in-depth breakdown of some of the scenarios/examples given. I'm sure part of that was that the rights to the story weren't owned but it would been nice, structurally, if there was a scenario section and then a breakdown of action. I did enjoy the amount of examples given though. They were wide ranging.

This is the first book by this author and I think more books will be beneficial to help people with their on-going journeys. Great job!

I found authentic you was a great book with plenty of useful information. The first part helps you identify problems with yourself and others to help you quickly determine what type of leader you have, and it gives a little advice about how to deal with troubled leaders. Part two walks you through the different states of mind, like apathy, fear, and guilt, and it explains how dangerous they are and how we might not even recognize them. The third part of the book talks about the good states of mind, like forgiveness, compassion, and love. It also discusses the importance of self-care. It also has plenty of information to help keep your life on track and become the best leader you can.

I liked the journal time surveys at the end of each chapter, and I felt they helped me quite a bit. I recommend this book to anyone that is looking not to become a better leader. It would also be helpful to someone looking to improve their life.

This was a great read! This book deals with leadership in the workplace but also opens the reader up on a personal level too. The reader begins a journey to become more awakened as a leader yet in a creative way each chapter allows for self reflection. By the end of the book I had a better understanding of the universal importance of voice both personally and professionally.

A pocket guide to leadership and a better life

Wow. This book surprised me in more ways than I can count, but I think the bigger one was the way the author included her audience in the journey, making it personalised.

With the exec at the end of each section, as well as the easy to follow steps, examples, arguments and guidance, I believe everyone should keep a copy of it nearby at all times.

It's perfect to be read and reread as a whole, or to pick a section a day and then work on the related thought-provoking tasks the author included.

Not to mention that the book does not only help the reader become a better leader, but it also helps shift our focus from what we don't know to what we thrive at, helping us become more confident and overall better, happier people.

Disclaimer: I won this book in a giveaway.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book and how much I got out of it. It was easy to read and felt as if it was actually written for me. Something I’ve started to do is a suggestion that said to ask yourself what your energy level is before going into a meeting or new event. It helps to ground me and recognize where I might not be bringing my best.

FANTASTIC book with great tips.
Great for anyone who is looking into improving themselves and be a true authentic leader ( as the title suggests lol ).
There are journal suggestions after each chapter as well so that you really reflect on what you’ve read and see how it applies to you in your life. Kristina really speaks to you in the book which makes me wonder when the audiobook will be coming …
You will feel inspired after reading .
