La Nuit des Femmes was supposed to be a high-end fashion show that celebrated the female form by displaying clothing on a wide array of short, tall, thin, thick, dark, and light. But what the media and guests don't expect is that one of these outfits isn't made from cloth or denim. It's made out of human skin.Out of their depths, the NYPD recruits Private Investigator Damien Drake to hunt a serial killer the media dubs 'The Straw Man'. But unlike many of the sadistic murderers Drake has pursued during his time first in the NYPD and now as a PI, The Straw Man doesn't bother hiding the bodies of his many victims. On the contrary, The Straw Man likes to show them off like morbid pieces of art.Not only that, but someone on Drake's team has encountered The Straw Man before and barely escaped with their life. This time, more people are going to die it's only a matter of figuring out how many...Scroll up and order your copy of the 10th book in the best-selling Damien Drake series TODAY!

True story: I used to cut up bodies. No, not for fun, you sickos–for work. After reaching the age of majority and fleeing the clutches of an overprotective mother, I went to university like a good boy.

More than a decade later and an alphabet soup of letters after my name, I found myself looking down the double-chamber of a microscope at an eyeball. Feeling ironically introspective, I decided that it was time for a change.

After seventy plus novels and more than a million copies sold, I’ve found my true calling, one that also includes a plethora of letters. Hopefully you see something in my catalog that you like, something to feast your eyes on.

I also have two spooky podcasts that are appropriate for ALL ages, so long as you like to be scared: P.T. Logan's Five Minutes of Terror and Camp Fear. Both are FREE and available on all podcast platforms. For MATURE audiences, I've created two fiction podcasts, Nightmare Residue and Bad Priest.

Amazing book!!

This was by far, THE BEST BOOK I've read by Patrick Logan to date. His story lines are so amazing, with all kinds of twists and turns as if you're riding a corkscrew roller coaster. He is without a doubt my favorite author! And the Damien Drake series is just amazing. It gets so much better with each book. I can't wait to see what happens to Drake and the rest of the team (DSLH Investigations) and the 62nd precinct!

We finally find out about "Hanna's" background and its a doozy. What she went through was horrifying and it all comes full circle in this book. Drake is starting to revert back to his old annoying habits - keeping secrets that affect everyone.

It's disappointing when a book has so many grammatic errors you have to rewrite a sentence in your head. The story was great but both go hand in hand. What are publishers doing? Letting AI review grammar? Bad idea.

I'd probably go up a star if I didn't pay to have to proof read while I read.

Intense

This book was intense as it focused on the trauma that Hannah/Robin encountered 15 years ago and what was happening once again to women in NYC. It was an insane ride searching for the Straw Man.

I am a fan of Patrick Logan. I think his stories are dark and deep. They tell the stories of the main characters along the way. Their own trauma has connected them and they are family. You can’t pick your relatives but you can choose your family.

The reason for my 3 star rating:

I did not like Leroy, a young black man, saying “yes Massa” to Screech. It is degrading and references slavery. It was put in italics! They are partners and he could have said sure thing boss man or you got it King in jest. I live in the southern US and was born in NY and it is not acceptable.

The ending is just unbelievable. No one would have let Hannah go after this guy alone. Drake being followed out to the middle of no where and being recorded in the basement is ridiculous. This isn’t Drake the drunk chasing the bad guys now.

It really was a great read until the end.

This was Mr. Logan's best!!!

I have read the Chase series and now most of the Drake series and this is the best of the bunch! It stitched together (oh yes I went there)... many details of the other books and had quite a few surprises. Bravo!

Best one yet

I don't know how it could be possible, but this is probably the best one in this series! Does this mean Robin will have her own series?
