Staying home for the Holidays...
Laura Holton had big plans for her winter break. None of which involved her staying home. But when her uncle gets laid up for a while, she's stuck running his veterinary clinic. Staying home for the holidays wasn't all bad, after all her uncle had just hired the sexiest veterinarian alive.

This book was pretty cute. Although I wouldn't say it is the best book I have ever read it did leave me feeling warm and cozy inside. I do have to say though, some of the plot twists in this book were actually kind of insane, but it helped moved the story along and a nice place along with keeping it interesting.

This story was such a sweet short story. I really loved the small-town setting, every one knowing and helping each other at the drop of a hat. It was so heartwarming. I felt like I should have known a lot of the characters that must have been in previous books but it didn’t ruin the plot for me at all.
Clay has just been recruited to work as a vet for Laura’s uncle. The attraction and flirting were instant and very sweet. Laura’s family are truly wonderful and take Clay in as part of their huge, loving, group straight away. His being Laura’s brother's best friend and college roommate helped, but they are just those kinds of people.
There are quite a few mini-dramas that happen, courtesy of Clay’s parents *insert eye roll* and lots of vet crises but, all in all, it’s a lovely, feel good, story.

Great to be back in Fairplay to enjoy a wonderful Christmas story about Clay and Laura. A real feel good romance. Laura is an absolute sweetheart and helps rescue Clay from a very sad upbringing. The whole family has welcomed him and Laura helps him heal and find true love. Of course the love for the animals makes it twice as sweet. Thanks Jill. Another beautifully written story.

This is a fun addition to the West series. Holly runs the vet office for her uncle. Living out in farmland there is plenty of need for the only vet in town. Her cousin is a vet but doesn't want to move back to his old hometown after Vet school so he recommends his best friend Clay. Clay didn't have a very happy childhood. His parents are trying to control his life but now he's making a stand. Working so close together because her uncle got hurt, Laura falls for Clay and vise versa. A fun Christmas series heavy on the family traditions and all being together. A totally enjoyable read from Jill Sanders. I highly recommend this fun Christmas read. The whole series is worth reading if you like small towns and large families.

Christmas Holly is a heartwarming, steamy, fun addition to the West series with just the right amount of drama and angst. Wonderful characters of a wonderful small town put you in the holiday spirit. Laura and Clay are the perfect animal loving pair.

I love, love, love it when authors revisit an older series and start fresh with a new generation of characters. This is the continuation of the West series with the children of the original characters now finding their mates. It's like coming home to visit friends you haven't seen for many years, but never stopped thinking about and loving them! While you absolutely could just read this book and enjoy it, you would be missing out on hours of enjoyment by skipping previous books! If you are looking for a sweet Christmas romance then this is absolutely the book to pick up and start reading! Move over Hallmark as Jill Sanders has this one wrapped up and ready to deliver to the heartstrings!

It was good to go back to Fairplay. I feel so sorry for Clay because he has such terrible parents. When Clay goes to work for the vet in Fairplay, he feels like he has come home. He has never felt more comfortable anywhere. He never felt comfortable with his parents. Laura has always loved animals and loves working for her uncle at the vet office. When Clay walks in, she can't even think straight. It doesn't take long to realize that he is a great guy and that she really wants to be with him. As he spends time with her family, he realizes what he has missed out on his whole life. All of her family and friends brought him into their circle and made him feel that he is part of everything. Will his parents blow all of that for him? Will they tear them apart?

Laura and Clay have sparks from the beginning but working together at her uncle's vet clinic brings them closer.
Clay brings baggage in the form of overbearing parents. While Laura introduces him to her family. I love love at the holidays! Such a great and sweet story!

Lovely Christmas story with a cameo from Nugget!
Laura works at her uncle's veterinary clinic and has done long before she even left school, she always loved to help out. When her uncle hires a new doctor to help him with his workload Laura is shocked when she meets Clay Dawson - it is lust at first sight for her!
She soon realises that there is more to Clay than his good looks. He is good with both the animals and people who arrive at the clinic and seems to have a heart of gold. Little does she know that Clay has some baggage that he would have rather left behind, unfortunately it has a habit of turning up just when you don't need it.
Sweet stand alone story continuing The West Series, and we get a catch up of all the characters in the background.

From the first page that book had me glued in.
It has everything laugh, romance, drama and animals. All what I love.
Clay moved to Fairplay to work as a vet there, his parents are not happy with his decision, they mostly not happy with him, but he is finally happy, especially after meeting Laura.

Reading this is like catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. Lauren and her family live in a small town that is welcoming and kind to those that need help. Clay comes to town and unexpectedly finds love and family despite all the odds. The journey to happiness is bumpy but a joy to read.

This is a sweet, fun and easy book that puts you in the Christmas spirit. Clay's new job as a small-town vet is interesting,and adds a lot to the plot. His super-controlling parents also make the story fun, especially as Clay learns to push back and assert himself. Laura is a good character and is surrounded by a huge family that embraces Clay and includes him in Christmas activities. There are a few twists and speed bumps along the way to romance and some steamy scenes. At times it was a little too sweet and things work out too perfectly but it is Christmas after all.

Great, story!
If you read the West series, you’ll love how this book gives you little details of other characters in previous books. It’s a great love story with human details of forgiveness and new beginnings. Love it!

This book was cute, but I do have to say it was a little slow and not to memorable. I finished it this past December and I already kind of forgot what happens. Loved all the cute animal stories though!

I just loved this book and read it in one sitting. It was nice to have some of the old characters from the rest of the West series around again. Laura is so sweet and Clay was just perfect for her. It was good to see the different family dynamics from a large close family to a small strained family. A lovely Christmas story.
