"Words that might mean something to someone someday" is a poetry collection by Bashar Abou Hawili portraying different emotions of love, loss, anger, resentment, acceptance and happiness through beautiful words.

The words come straight from author's heart, you can feel the emotions behind every written word. It touches your heart and soul. Pain and suffering is universal and therefore you see it in the author's words, you can easily relate because as a human you have felt all the emotions he has felt.

I really liked the letters written by the author to himself. I liked that no matter how hard things got, he never stopped giving his best and held on to hope and optimism and on the days he couldn't give his best he just accepted himself with all his feelings and all his broken pieces, with all the experiences and insecurities, with all the mistakes he had made. I think that's what we need to do too.

I loved the way he wrote about love, I loved the way he wrote about life, about beaches and sunrise.

This poetry collection is full of emotions. It's an easy to read and easy to feel poetry collection coming straight out of someone's heart. You can learn to let go of your pain or learn to live with it, you can stop trying to get back the version of yourself that existed before you got hurt because now you are a new you. This poetry collection is not only relatable but it can be healing too.

"We should be proud of the fact that we are not who we were a year ago, or a month ago, or a week ago, or even a few days ago.

Because if we were still the same,

Then what’s the point of everything we go through?"

'Words that Might mean something to someone someday' is a curated copy of some fifty plus poems arranged and coded in a sequential manner. The book is divided into six segments each segment further being sub-categorized into numerous ones which reflect the basal emotions and needs that a person suffers through everyday of their life. The book covers aspects from Love to Ignorance and from Denial to depression. The poet has rightly described love as “An intense feeling of deep affection” and has managed to frame and superimpose such states of mind generously.

There's dark days and there's bright ones, and on somedays the scorching sun doesn't seem to shine any brighter than the moon. Worry some feelings, turbulent thoughts to overcoming grief and negative vices like ignorance are well-crafted into this book. The plethora of emotions depicted in this book through simple, lucid poems are too relatable to deny with. A good effective compilation of voices in your head in a single book of love, sorrow, acceptance, denial and positive and negative emotions standalone are together curated in this book.

The language is easy, the narration is personal and the themes are transparent and reflective. A nice anthology that I'd recommend to poetry-lovers although there are some ones which might not be carrying the amount of depth to a certain extent. A lot of emotions are harboured into it with no such ones that might seem to be wayward or too ambitious at any point of time.

💫BOOK REVIEW💫

🍁This beautiful soul-stirring poetry book is penned down by "Bashar Abou Hawili".

🍁It has a collection of about 65 heart-warming poems classified into six major groups, which being:
•Love
•Denial
•Anger
•Bargaining
•Depression
•Acceptance

🍁The way he had deciphered his thoughts throughout the book is purely gratifying. Which while reading you will get lost in the world of emotions. His words will console your heart proving immense pleasure.

🍁This particular book will take you on the journey towards the huge variety of sentiments most of us had undergone during a difficult phase in our lives.

🍁Few verses are so uniquely put down that they will grab you instantly, while the other ones will take time to comprehend.

🍁I genuinely want to get my hands on a physical copy of this book, as I've relished reading it all around and would definitely love reading it again. Moreover, it was a very short read.

🍁And tbh I'm just incapable of unloving such books.

🍁Both the writing style and cover is equally incredible. And I also liked the title. Lastly, all I want to say is that it's a soul grasping book (which just can't be ignored) and I would strongly recommend all of you to read it.

Hoping to read more from the author~

“I hope that when I die, you’ll take my eyes
And see the world the way I saw it
And fear the darkness the way I feared it
And feel the sunlight the way I felt it
And most importantly,
Love yourself the way I loved you.”

“Words that Might Mean Something to Someone Someday: A modern poetry book about love, loss, and the stages of grief” is filled with the rawest emotions coming straight from author’s heart to touch readers’ heart tenderly, beautifully yet grievously as we progress through it.

This poetry collection contains poems on themes such as Love, Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance. Every theme has an abundance of poems that will ride you through a great emotional roller-coaster.

As the title suggests, there are stages of grief which are portrayed by the author in the poetic form. But is grief just one feeling or are there stages of it? Sometimes, feelings are considered binary, ignoring their middle values & stages that contribute to a person's emotional & mental situation at that particular time. But analyzing those stages & accepting those as they are instead of considering them as one of the two sides of the coin is essential.

Although there are negative emotions portrayed in it, there is a hope & optimism waving throughout it which shows how the author keeps a reader positive & shows the rays of hope for not giving up.

Through lucid, innate & understandable language, the author rides us through a great journey of magical words that slowly cuddle with readers’ empathy. I really love the cover. It is so simple but elegant in its own way. It was a short, interesting & lovely read but I enjoyed this little magical experience throughout.

“They say, “It’s a broken heart.”
But who are they to tell me how to feel?
Who are they to know what is broken inside of me?
Who are they?”

Words That Might Mean Something to Someone Someday: A Modern Poetry Book about Love, Loss, and the Stages of Grief by Bashar Abou Hawili 📚

"We were in this ocean together.
But I was holding us both up.
And I just couldn't do it anymore.
I couldn't do it because I noticed that you were only weighing me down.
And now, the weight is gone."

"Words that might mean something to someone someday" was a raw, open poetry book filled with feelings and self realizations. It made me feel a lot of things as I read along. It's the kind of book that anyone can relate to because it mainly talks about loss. Though the book was mainly talking about break up in a romantic sense, it could actually apply to any kind of relationship from family, friends to colleagues.

" The hardest kind of hate us self-hatred. The hardest kind of love is a love that was taken advantage of."

We all experience tragedy and loss at some point of our life. This book talked about the different stages of grief in the poetic sense. It was beautiful and a cathartic experience for me. The book was divided into 6 parts: Love, Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance. Each part had poems in that particular theme under it. The book builds up emotions, breaks it all apart and leaves you with little nuggets of wisdom that I'll cherish forever.

My favorite poem in the book was called " The Funeral". It moved me to tears. It took me about an hour and half to finish this book. If you have ever felt like you have had a loss, you should give this book a try. It's not only for poetry readers, anyone can read it. Even if you are beginner reader, you will find it easy to read. It's the kind of book that is a form of self care and that's something that's very important in this moment of our lives.

FAB - BOOK REVIEW OF "Words that Might Mean Something to Someone Someday: A modern poetry book about love, loss, and the stages of grief" by Bashar Abou Hawili.

Genre: Modern Poetry

Rating - 4.5/5

QOTD: What are your views on Poetry?
AOTD: It has my heart, okay people?

"Words that Might Mean Something to Someone Someday: A modern poetry book about love, loss, and the stages of grief" by Bashar Abou Hawaili. Poetry hits differently at different times of life. But, it is something that stays with us forever. It is pure and straight from the heart. Isn't why we all love poetry?
.
This title has my heart. Don't you feel it's authentic? The words we say might be intentional or not on someday, someone will be hurt. It's pragmatic. This book has been divided into six parts: Love, First Date, Hope, Warrior, Vow, Denial, Falling Out Of Love, Anger, Ignorance, Bargaining Depression, Broken Soul, Acceptance. I really liked how the poetry has been written. Having read many contemporary poetry books, no poetry book has caught a lot of attention for me, but this is not like that. These poems are written with raw emotions, and I felt that. The way the poems described grief and Hope ahs my heart. Though I read poems about grief, the poems written in this book are simple, yet they push back those memories.
.
The poetic language is lucid, but I'd recommend reading this book at a slow pace so that you feel the emotions that were put on paper so beautifully.

If you love poetry and all of the wonderful journeys a poem can take you on then you'll love Words that might mean something to somebody. This poetry book is written in such a way that there is a poem for every reader, for every mood. I found some to be extremely beautiful and romantic, while others are emotionally touching and could feel my heart melt away with its beautiful portrayal. Bashar here has does an amazing job at capturing the it's feel and emotions in every line of his work.

As he says that he has given a peice of his heart to us through this book...one who loves to read poems can really feel the message he is trying to convey that lies beneath every poem.

I'm in lost of words that how much decorative each and every lines were when it comes to the various kinds of emotions he poured in those poems or he had faced throughout his beautiful journey what is called life.

This type of work was clearly written to penetrate our emotions, reminiscing of the times we may have endured which will improve us to be a better person and Bashar here has aced it in a wonderful way.

Two of my the most favorite poems in this book are vow from Love and Just you from Acceptance. The author is definitely one to keep an eye on! I recomend this poetry book to everyone!

“Words That Might Mean Something to Someone Someday” is an elite collection of gladdening poems that would blow one’s mind. It is a modern poetry volume which builds emotional connection between words and the readers. The poet in essence penned a troupe of poems on Love, Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression; life makes us face all of them, no? The best part is, each rubric got subitem to it and succours in grasping things a way better. It gives an serene aura of life.

• Love “An intense feeling of deep affection”
• Denial “The refusal of something requested”
• Anger “A strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility”
• Bargaining “Takes place within the mind by trying to explain things that could have been done differently or better”
• Depression “Feelings of severe despondency and dejection”

I genuinely loved the dialect and the storyline genesis through it. The edifice maintained through won’t let someone skip a page. The transparent words used, makes is tranquil; 136 pages in just one go. The complexity of emotions and the simplicity of words makes it a page turner. I highly recommend this to poem lovers and everyone who’s discovering life.

The biggest thing I feel, is that in order to enjoy most poetry the reader has to find a way to relate to it. I personally found this highly relatable, and beautiful. This is definitely a collection that I’ll read again, and will flick to random pages often. This is just a beautiful, stimulating, whimsical collection of poems about love, loss, grief. It hits me in places where few poets have managed to reach. These poems are real, relatable, and heartfelt. According to me poems are one of the best ways to express our thoughts and emotions, rather it be happiness or sorrow and the author has beautifully presented everything in the form of this poetry book.

The range of emotion shown in these poems hits its mark time and time again, and makes this a widely accessible piece. Overall, this collection of poetry is pretty interesting. Easy to read yet packed with emotion and small details, this is sure to pull you into the wonderful world of poetry. Give this book a go, even if poetry isn't your thing as you will likely be pleasantly surprised!

Book: Words That Might Mean Something To Someone Someday
Author: Bashar Abou Hawili
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Let's start with the title of the book "Words That Might Mean Something To Someone Someday" the meaning of the title according to content is good but I think it is a long one it is attractive but when you put all the feeling of poetry book in one or two words that is something else.

The book is a collection of poems with so many different emotions. This Opera Omnia contains Love, Affection, Hate, Betrayal, vow, denial, falling out of love, anger kinda many emotions which are divided into six chapters. The book is relatable to the person who read this I truly admire the work of the author. He portrayed beautifully.

The language is easy and understandable which connects the reader to the book. It is a worthy read. When you are planning to read the book I have a suggestion don't rush it give every emotion a separate time.

Words that Might Mean Something to Someone Someday: A modern poetry book about love, loss, and the stages of grief.

by Bashar Abou Hawili

The poetry book in its essence is an unusual epitome of love, grief, retrospection and healing. This collection of poetry on a single heartfelt theme which is love and its majestic complexities is bound to make one jump out of the overwhelming emotions of such wonderful expressions.

The poet instills a sense of warmth and comfort into her poetry, making them relevant and close to our hearts. From the falling, breaking and healing, he weaves the thread of words together in the most exuberant of ways. He constructs his narration without any disguise, and portrays the raw thoughts as perceived including the Easter eggs which could be found when delved into depths of love.

The innate quality of understanding this complex emotion of love can be felt easily when it comes to the poems pampering the readers with empathy, truth and loveliness. From poems in context of regret, peace, wisdom and Rise stands out with all the expected literary endeavours.

Apart from few basic over indulgences in a peculiar concept, the book is a well deserved read.

For everyone into poetry books, I highly recommend " Words that Might Mean Something to Someone Someday: A modern poetry book about love, loss, and the stages of grief " by Bashar Abou Hawili.

It's a collection of poems with an array of love and hope. This book is consists of around 60 poems on various themes like Love, heartbreak, hope, and relationships.

It is beautifully written & each poem has been penned with utmost tenderness and warmth. Each poetry of the book will leave you a bit more mesmerized than the other one.

All the poems written in poetic ways have become my favorite, it's really hard for me to choose just one. . The book is about 136 pages long, and some poems are short while some are long , all are impressive and easily understandable.

If you never read poetry before this is a great book to start. Or if you have you will probably love it just as much as I did. This was a pleasant read and a great example of a simple style of poetry done right!!

In this poetry collection, the author covered a wide range of emotions through her poetry on topics such as love, Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance,

I think everyone will be able to find some poems in this book that they relate to on some level, but there were some poems that I admired and read twice, and thrice were the ones where the author dug into her feelings about love and hope.

Poems were short and there is a letter to the author's love of his life and that touched me so much.

This poetry collection is unique in its way.
The way she woven these poems and expressed her thoughts with words is what makes this book worth money and time.

The cover of the book is so poetry like so is the title " Words that Might Mean Something to Someone Someday: A modern poetry book about love, loss, and the stages of grief " right on point. If you want to develop your love into poetry, this is a good book to start with.

"Words That Might Mean Something To Someone Someday" by Bashar Abou Hawili is a collection of poems I rather say it is a collection of emotions that define love. From my perspective love is not just one emotion it is the collection of several which connect two individuals.

The author grabbed the above concept and make a story with the help of his poetry. Which is divided into 6 chapters. They are a collection of a plethora of emotions like hope, attraction, vow, denial, falling out of love, anger, ignorance, and many more.

All the verses are well connected to every individual life and Warrior is one of my favorite ones. But at some places, the rhythm is lost and the language is easy to understand but it could be better coz in my opinion some complicated words make a poem more beautiful. Otherwise, it is a nice book I recommend this book to fresher poets.

"I am Thankful for every year, every heartache, every painful moment..
Because I wouldn't have been the person I am today without them"

A MUST READ

This book is such a soul touching collection of poems. It has poems on love, depression, anger , rejection and many more. The feelings of the author couldn't have been expressed better.

Love has been expressed in such a pure and beautiful way.
It is very authentic and so true. I know that many of you will be able to connect with it. I have personally been through these feelings and they are just on point. I totally loved these poems and they are a must in ever one's collection.

I loved how the author handled the poems with depression. The feelings of the person were made stronger and he didn't blame himself for everything acting like a victim. That was the best part. My favorite was "Fall".

I totally loved the book. This is a must read guys

Words That Might Mean Something To Someone Someday

Bashar Abou Hawili

I need to say wow the poems .
First of all I have chosen this book by looking up the title, really it touched my heart.

And the one I like the most is warrior

At times I wonder,
Do we ever actually
grow up? Or do we just
grow older?
And then I look at your face
A face that looks so young
With eyes that could tell stories about thousands of years
And I remember
What growing up looks like.

I just love these lines .

And there are more than fifty poems in the book,
All the poems and very well written .
The book is divided into six parts.

The Poems are about Love, First Date, Hope, Warrior, Vow, Denial, Falling Out Of Love, Anger, Ignorance, Bargaining, Depression, Broken Soul, Acceptance

We can even fell every emotion while reading those poems . Those are really very interesting,
The author had done great job .
Really I appreciate author for writing such poems .

The language is lucid and understandable.
And I suggest if you are a poet lover I definitely recommend this book.

Divided into 6 sub-headings, this poetry book wins hearts with realistically written lines. Being a fan of Poetry, I enjoyed the entire read.

There is an inclusion of every aspect of emotions in the poems and it depicts differing opinions of perspectives.Literally a poem for every life situation is presented... Be it Love,Affection,Hate,Betrayal,Breakup,Death,Separation and so on.

Despite the painful underpinnings, Most of the lines were filled with hope and optimism at the end lines. Any reader’s heart would definitely resonate with the pain of Love portrayed in each word.

I loved the way the author has maintained neutrality and hadn’t blamed the persons involved rather put the guilt on the situations. Also loved the fact that Each poem depicted an angle of emotionally blended positivity which was so pleasant to read.

Use of simple words with deep meanings made it easy to comprehend the read and rejoice.

It is so incredibly astounding to realise that there are a very limited number of labelled emotions present in the human society but each being has the ability to feel it in different and unique ways.
In this collection of poetry, one-liners and diary excerpts, the writer explores a medley of emotions - emotions that are wonted and familiar but affects our existence in irrevocable ways.
Though these are independent pieces, a gradual development of the psychological process of the speaker is evident as we keep flipping through the pages.
Most of the musings are dedicated towards a "she" who probably happens to be the speaker's beloved. The agony of unrequited love manifested in the early part of the book paves it's way through the pain, depression, despair and finally into acceptance and the hope for a brighter day.
"You have loved and you have lost. But little do you know that love is waiting for you at the end of the tunnel you have been lost in."
The diary excerpts written to the past self and the present self are my favourites because they bring out so profoundly the inner turmoil suffered by the speaker, who becomes an everyman for the readers, making pain, suffering and acceptance a universal theme.

Words that might mean something to someone someday is a collection of poems that take the reader through the life of the author.

The book starts with poems about young love which were fun to read.
After that, there were poems themed on the break-up, heartbreak and related emotions.
These poems too were quite interesting as each of them was different from the other.

The last part of the book was exceptional and contains poems on how the author recovered from this incident and started fresh.
These poems are filled with hope and positivity.

All the poems are beautifully crafted and very refreshing. The writing style and method is perfect and mature. The flow is steady and easy-going. I enjoyed the book a lot.

Words that Might Mean Something to Someone Someday is a collection of poems. It has 6 pats - love, denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. The book talks about the different stages of his/someone's love life. The person had fallen in love with a girl and then they went into a relationship. But after some days ahe left him for someone else. So the later stage of his is depicted on the other parts of the poem.

Everything is written beautifully. But at some parts it is repeating same thing. It missed the continuation or some dots. Other than that it is good. Language is very simple and lucid. Any beginner can start with this one.

Words that might mean something to someone someday is a collection of some beautiful poems, written by Bashar Abou Hawili.

The book has divided into six parts. Each part is titled a particular emotions like love, denial, acceptance, anger, bargaining and depression.

Each poem is studded with emotions and leaves an imprint in our heart. The poems are written beautifully and I liked the poems a lot.

The language is simple and easy to understand. The author has done great job. I really appreciate the author for writing such a beautiful book.
