If you know about the rougarou, then this a great book to read and especially for children. If you don't know, then this is still a great book. The author did a great job telling a story, but also not making it absolutely terrifying. So kudos to the illustrator as well! I would recommend this especially if you're in Louisiana.

Rougarou Stewby Kat PigottIs there a Rougarou lurking in the swamp? This story has you sitting on the edge of your seat wondering when the Rougarou will make an appearance. Set a trap, dig a hole, add some gator and other ingredients to make some Rougarou Stew and then sit back and wait. Cute story to read around the campfire. Mason Sibley did a great job illustrating this story!
