Having recently lost a dear animal companion is what I believe led me to Lynn McKenzie's work in Animal Energy Communication and Healing. It was as if the transition of my sweet Yorkie girl Mila was a catalyst, as she was already guiding me from the other side before I even had confirmation she could do that.
Throughout this process, I learned about Lynn's book, "Bark, Neigh, Meow: Awaken to the Transformative Wisdom of Your Companion Animal to Activate Your Soul's Highest Calling."
The pages of this book tell the tales of the heart-to-heart connection and bonds between the various animal owners and animal companions that Lynn has worked with over the years through her energy healing work with animals.
Every story shared is inspiring and heartwarming, and demonstrates the special mission of our animal companions to assist us with our own spiritual growth and consciousness awakening. I found comfort as I progressed through each chapter and finished the book with complete confidence and faith that, though we can no longer see her, Mila, much like the animals in this book, is still very much with us and guiding us toward our higher purpose for our souls' calling and for the benefit of our continued interactions with our remaining (and future) animal companions.
The signs are all around, if you know what to look for and choose to see them! "Bark,Neigh, Meow" will help you see with new spiritual eyes and will help enhance your communication with your beloved animal companions.
To be fair, I started this book skeptical and not expecting to change my mind unless I read something earth-shattering, and I did not read anything of the kind. What I read was lots of anecdotes basically saying, “This meant something because I said it does.” Really — a car with your dead dog’s name on the license plate is a sign from your dead dog? Maybe it’s just a coincidence that someone with the same name as your dead dog (a common name BTW) crossed paths with you. A red tailed hawk means a dead animal’s spirit is trying to communicate with you? Okaaaaaaay.
Now, I’m not saying that these people didn’t get huge benefits out of what they believed, or that those beliefs, no matter how wacky-doodle, didn’t set their lives on better courses. I consider this a harmless and most likely even beneficial book who are looking to be convinced of what the book is trying to say, but it is absolutely not me. I don’t buy any of it not for one second. That said, it’s not a bad book (other than being written for the masses in an accessible but shallow voice that’s easy for non-critical thinkers to digest).
I have always felt more powerfully connected to Zeke - my Shiba Inu - as compared with any human being that I have ever known. This book reinforced my belief that animals are here to help us grow and develop our souls and that caring for our companion animals is a way of fulfilling the purpose that we came to this earth for.
The exercises are helpful and enlightening, and the author's own personal stories were awe-inspiring. If you feel yourself specifically drawn to animals in general or one animal in particular, check out this book and see what your soul may be accomplishing through that relationship. There is more to animals than meets the eye and while we may be their "trainers", on the soul level it is more about what they are teaching us!
I knew immediately I was in trouble when I started reading it was late and I was tired. The problem the more I read the more I could not put it down. The way Lynn McKenzie explains, shares, draws you in. I could not put it down. Hours flew by. When I went to sleep I do not know, I was almost done by the next morning. I had even reread several stories. Great book. Grest read. Fun very entertaining. Well worth the time. I am planning on another late night. Page one here I come.
I love this book! The individual stories are heartfelt, there is something to learn in every chapter. I took my time with Bark, Neigh, Meow in order to absorb each story, and do the exercises afterwards. For myself, I need to take a few days to fully embody the lesson, so would repeat the meditation until I felt satisfied. There is much wisdom in this lovely, easy-to-read book. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves animals, even if you don't have the privilege of living with one yourself. Thanks Lynn for all your time & energy & love you put into Bark, Neigh, Meow!
This is the perfect book to sit, relax and read. The stories will touch your heart. They will make you smile and cry. It is one of the best books I have read in a long time. I consider it as part of my collection of business books, in a good way because it's not really a business book to to speak. It's a part of my journey, and I highly recommend to everyone who has had a pet now or in the past. You will see animals are really spiritual and here to help us. Thank you Lynn for writing such a brilliant book!
What a wonderful, well written book! Heartwarming, joyful an even a few tears. A must read for any animal lover and anyone wanting to understand or communicate with all animals. The exercises at the end of each chapter build upon each other making it possible for anyone to learn how to open up and communicate with animals. Lynn McKenzie speaks and writes from the heart. Thank you Lynn for reigniting my passion for understanding and helping animals (and their owners too)!
