Ok, I admit that I checked this out mostly for the old bike photos and am still salivating over the 1890s "lightweights" and the 60s-era Apple Krate, but, yes, the text is worth a look as well, although it doesn't cover Schwinn's devastating demise as thoroughly as I had hoped.
