I've got other books on the I Ching that I've read.

While the book starts off okay, covering a simple three-coin toss to generate a reading. The book breaks down after that by getting needlessly complex and has a feel that it doesn't truly understand the I Ching.

Not my favorite book on the I-Ching, but not the worst, either. I worried, when I read on the cover that it provides "questions and interpretations that are clear, comprehensive and relevant to today." That latter part bothered me. I'm rather reluctant to give weight to books translated from the original manuscripts by non-Chinese. R.L. Wing and a few others were born into that culture and mindset and understand the intricacies and evolution of the meaning of their words in much the same way that Westerners are able to track through the evolution of words and their meanings in the European languages.

Essentially, what I do is go through several books (including this one) if the meaning from Wing's book aren't concise so that I can clarify the message. This is actually one of the last books I use.
