Dichter als Seher der Menschheit (Wilhelm Dilthey, Gesammelte Schriften von band XVIII an besorgt von Karlfried Geunder und Frithjof Rodi, 25)

Rate this book
The central component of this volume are Dilthey's Essays on literary history, which were planned for publication in 1895, but have yet to be published in original sequence and form. In the antiquated-seeming title the search for an adequately productive body of work of the poet and his particular role in society are reflected upon. The opening discussions on Shakespeare forcefully demonstrate Dilthey's cultural approach, his continued introductions into humanities, and his own concept of psychological method. Volume XXV and the closing volume XXVI are highly interlinked. German text.
