After the death of her beloved husband Robert, Calla Lowell feels her childhood home calling to her in her time of grief and desperation. Packing up her life, she goes back to the small provincial town of Gillytree with her children in tow to make her parents’ old house her home again. However, when she comes across Arby, a childhood friend of whom she only has the faintest of recollections, things become even more confusing – especially when she realizes that the normalcy of her life is a lie and that magic and mayhem lurk in every corner.
Magic and Mayhem is the first novel in the Paranormal Romance series, although all books can be read as standalone's. A HOT romantic story with a guaranteed happily ever after, it does have some strong language and sexy times. Enjoy!

This is a really good book! Calla moves to Gillytree with her kids after her husband dies. Her memories of her life there are foggy, so are her memories of who and what she is. She tries very hard to remember everything that is blurry. This is well written and the characters are wonderful. My favorite character was Sugar. My second favorite was Firenze. I highly recommend this book! I am looking forward to reading more books by Sarah Ray. Hopefully more about Gillytree.

It was very interesting to dive into some new lands with new creatures. Calla and her kids are wonderful characters as are the lycans. I did like them a lot. What I didn’t understand is Penny. I don’t like her she seems vicious to me and with her, the author promised something she couldn’t give. All in all a nice book for everyone who likes clean fantasy romance.

I enjoyed this book. There were errors that I had to stop to think abkut, such as names being incorrect. However, once I was last those, it was a good read. It could use a little bit better world building. I would recommend as a quick, light read.

Started well but ending feeling rushed and just a bit stupid for my reading pleasure. I just ended up wondering what I had read. The fact I have been reading this book over three months tells it’s own story, as I can devour a book in a few hours if it grabs my interest. I’m not sure how this will get sorted as her husband is not dead but she loves Arby. Read through Kindle Unlimited.
Started off pretty good, but then it became too busy. So much going on at once with little to no explanation. There's still a lot of things that need to be explained. It ended without closure so hopefully there'll be a second book.
This is an awesome book. I lost sleep over this book and every chance I got to read it while at work I did. I HIGHLY recommend this book. It is a great read and look forward to reading more books by Sarah Ray
This is a Good YA Paranormal story, with all the feels. It has drakes, vampires, werewolves, and slayers of the aforementioned beings, as well as a HEA ending.
Good story, filled with new and different twists on paranormal characters of all kinds, and magic and alchemy. A bit confusing at times, but I still enjoyed it.
