This is a nothing little book that shares the story of a chick being born and coming home to his family at the barn.
But even though as a story, it is boring, this 10-page story is perfectly suited to demonstrate to my students three skills: onomatopoeia, time-order-words/transitional phrases, and dialogue. It is always nice to see simple presentations of skills in real text.
