You run, I’ll chase, and I’ll catch
I wish we wouldn’t gotten more of this ^^, but alas, we didn’t lol. I liked this one slightly less than the previous two.
The duet-narrated audiobook definitely helped boost my rating😮💨 (I think the whole series is duet narration).
The book starts off with Caelan’s POV from book 2, where he’s fighting Luca because he’s his sister’s mate. They are in the middle of the fight when all of a sudden Caelan (30) smells something, the blood of his mate, and she is human👀.
Darragh (23) grew up in the foster system (her mom died while giving birth to her and her grandparents died when she was younger) with her best friend Evelyn. She’s at the point in her life where she wants to find out more information about her origin. She does an ancestry test and discovers that she’s mostly Scottish. So, she decides to embark on an adventure to find out more about her family.
She’s in the middle of hiking, gets lost in the woods, and trips/cuts herself when she encounters noises and fighting. And then Caelan looks at her and claims her as his.
But she’s not going to just roll over and accept it; she’s going to run as fast as her messed up ankle will let her.
And Caelan loves a good chase 😈
What I liked/loved:
—the tension 👀. This is sloooow burn, and there’s looooots of tension 😮💨. Caelan doesn’t wanna hurt her, so he’ll patiently wait until she’s ready 👀. And man, he’s soooo patient lol
—the 🔥. As per usual JS, we get some intense 🔥 scenes. Physical stuff doesn’t happen happen until after 60% and the mating and full marking until 85%, but oh Lordt. It’s 😮💨. Caelan might be patient, but he’s also duuurty 😅. Lots of 💦 everywhere 😮💨
—he loves to eat a hearty breakfast, lunch, and dinner 🥵
—how protective and swoony he is. ERMAGOD 🥹. The way he tends to her wounds and makes sure she’s fed and comfortable melted my heart 😭. Now I need someone to wash my back like he does for Darragh’s 👀
—the lengths he goes to give her time to adjust. Caelan’s BEEN ready for her, so he finds a witch to give him a talisman to prevent his family from finding them so that they have enough time to get to know each other 👀. I loved this ❤️
—her ancestry ❤️. Darragh finally gets answers about her heritage 🥹
—did I mention that he’s addicted to her nectar 👀? No? Well, he is 😅
—found family 🥰. For a foster kid, this is worth more than gold 🥹🫶
—Evelyn and Cian 👀. I can’t wait to read their book
What I wanted more of:
—less summaries of when they talk. I wish we had gotten their actual conversations versus just a summary of what they talked about. In a way, it was fine because I read book two, so I have a lot of that information, but if I’m reading this, as a standalone, I’m missing information about Caelan and his family.
—I expected more chasing 😐. I got soooo excited when I read book 2 and he’s chasing her 👀. We DO get ONE chasing scene, but I wanted more 😭🤣🤣🤣
—for it to be longer 😭
—a epilogue way into the future ☹️. It’s only weeks later 😭. I’m such a sucka for epilogues🤣
Overall, I really enjoyed this

We saw Caelan in the last book when he saw his mate when that fight broke out. Now it's his turn!! Once he tracks down his mate he tries not to scare her but since he is in that shifter phase she does freak out. But she does and kinda hurts herself this has Caelan sorta blaming himself and taking his mate away and hidden so he can get to know her.. and show her they are meant to be...
Locked away from the world they talk and get to know one another and he informs her somethings about her family that she never found... they were cute together and I enjoyed every minute.
We also got the next couple and alittle pov from them.. can't wait to see how there relationship goes.

Working her butt off to afford it, she finally is able to set off to Scotland. She needs answers. Being an orphan and growing up in foster care, she’s hoping for anything.
Caelan is a hybrid of half vampire and half lycan/wolf. We briefly met him in his sisters book.. and now it’s his turn to find his fated mate.
Darragh decided to sight see and gets lost in a wooded area. It’s getting dark, she’s alone, hurt, and scared. She magnetically walks right into Caelan. Her mate. Fated mate.
He’s fierce. And brutal. And sometimes has a hard time controlling it but oh my gosh, he is SO sweet his Darragh. He’s a virgin. Waited for his true mate. And so protective and truly wants to be the best mate to her.
She is of course scared as hell.

Darragh was an orphan, and she wanted to know more about her roots; that's why she ended up in Scotland. She's basically a tourist and didn't really know much about shifters, except for what she read in books. It just so happens that while taking a hike, she stumbled upon the middle of the fight between Lycans and Vampires (scene from book 2). In this scene Caelan smelled her and realized she's his mate. She ran out of fear, and he chased her. That's why this one kicks off a bit differently than the first two books because he ends up kidnapping her.
So, there was some pushback from her side since she was taken against her will. Caelan knew what he did wasn't right, but he just couldn't stand the thought of being away from his mate.
But during Darragh's "captivity," she discovered more about herself. She found out that she's actually a half Lycan, and then she started to feel the connection of the linked bond between them.
So, her struggle to not feel anything towards her captor didn't last for too long. Probably because she sees how much he cares and puts in the effort for her. He really takes good care of her and places her well-being first, among other things. She eventually accepted her new reality and who she really is.
Fated mates, dual V, and safe! 💖
PS. She finally got to meet her dad, and his story was really heartbreaking. But I'm really happy they found each other and are working on their relationship.

I was surprised by how much I liked this couple 😭 I wasn't too sure about the H at first but he grew on me- I ended up loving their dynamic. I think this was my favorite in the series purely writing-wise, because of how centered it was around the MCs (however I preferred the overall couples/plots of the previous ones a lot more)!

This is the third book in this series and each one has gotten better and better. Darragh was an orphan and she is searching for her roots and that leads her to Scotland. Caelan is half vampire/half wolf shifter and as soon as he "scents" Darragh, he knows this is his forever mate. The story is sweet and hot at the same time. I loved the connection and I loved that we get peeks at characters from the previous book. Can't wait for more!!

Another awesome story in the Lycan series. now we get the story of one of the Scottish heirs. Caelan is one of the triplets we got to meet in the story before. He found his mate Darragh in the forest.... Where he kind of abducted her 😉 Now he has to just make amends and get on the good side if his mate.... But boy she is no wilting flower... Sassy and independent Darragh won't roll over for him this fast 🥰🥰🥰 Instalove, sweet,steamy, romantic, fun to read and totally safe(heck yes fated mates and they just can't be with their fated one 😍😍😍).

This one was about Caelan and Darragh. In the previous book when Caelan and Luca face off with each other and then he all but disappears and on the other side Darragh just hiking around comes across this men who look straight out of a horror movie to her, from then on I was so excited to read about Caelan and Darragh.
Darragh comes to Scotland after researching about her family. She hopes to find out more about her family and also see the place of her ancestry.
Never thinking that Scotland was about to change her life completely.
Caelan is upset about Ainslee, his sister and her mate Luca. When he goes to apologize to her and finds she's missing he becomes furious. When he finds her with Luca and both get into a fight, his world tilts off when he happens to see a human female whose scent is driving him crazy and he knows he's found his mate.
Darragh has no idea who is this strange man and why he has captured her.
I loved the different povs, not only of Caelan and Darragh but also knowing Caelan family's side. Caelan has to make his mate see him as her own as he can't live without her.
Then there's what happens when Darragh is speaking to her friend Evelyn and Cian comes and finds out her to be his mate.

I hunger for you
It's official! I am in love with this series! The author did such an amazing job with these characters and the over reaching storyline just keeps getting better with each book. I love how the books overlap in the series and how we got a taste of what is to come in the next book. No matter how fantastic her last book was, this author always manages to blow me away with her imagination and the care she takes with the creating of her characters and the lives that they live. I love that these two have remained untouched their entire lives and that one chance meeting sets off fireworks that carry through to the end of the book and beyond. I can only imagine where the author is going to take this PNR series next, and I am excited to read it all as it unfolds.

This book was fantastic and I could not put it down, I wanted more. The heat and passion between these destined life mates is swoon worthy and off the charts. To know they will do all to make you happy and never hurt you.
Darragh has been raised in a orphanage not knowing if she has any family at all. She needs to know "Who" she is, decides to travel to Scotland after taking a DNA test and saves up money to travel.
Caelan feels her before he even see's her, but once she is in his sight he will chase her and once he has her he will never let her go.

The Hunger is book three in the series. It was a great read. Darragh travels to Scotland to try and find out more about her family, then she meets Caelan. Caelan is a half vampire/ Lycan and says she is his mate. I really loved how possessive and protective he was of her. These two were pretty scorching together. Loved them.

I thought that this book was so worth the way. I loved Darragh and Caelan together. I loved the drama, slow burn, twits and turns, connection, chemistry, intrigue compassion, and great HEA that this book offered. I can't wait for Cain's book. I would highly recommend this book, this series and Ms. Jenika as an awesome author.

This book was a delicious combination of sweetness and heat. Things get intense very quickly for Caelan and Darragh and if you are anything like me, you will find yourself totally swept into this tempting tale of discovery and desire. I loved Darragh and Caelan so much. Their attraction and chemistry is elemental and off the charts. This series is wickedly addictive and each couple will sneak straight into your heart. Yep. Loved it. I am loving this series. I didn't know how I would feel about Caelan since I hated his character in Luca & Ainslee's story. But I quickly fell in love with him.

This is book 3 in a amazing series. Darragh is an American, an orphan searching for answers on who she is and where she comes from. Caelan is Scottish. He is half vampire, half Lycan. When he stumbles upon his mate he loses control and kidnaps her. Can he convince Darragh that he would never hurt her and make her fall in love with him.

This story started off with a complete grab of my attention and it didn't let go for any of the wild ride this couple went on. Sweet, dark, steamy, it has it all and I really enjoyed getting sucked back in to this world. Good fun!

I didn't love Caelan as much as I thought. He was the biggest haters of Luca with what went down and he goes and does the exact same thing with Darragh. Still, I loved the book and how it ended. Love the series!
