Its been a while since I read this author but happy to say this story was as good as I remember. I loved the connection between Monty and Lexi. I also enjoyed the bit of drama and thought provoking moments. Well done!
Donna Hill did a fantastic job of weaving a tale of love centered around black owned business owners and community. This theme played throughout this stories characters Lexi and Monty's relationship beginning to end even with the bumps along the way. She made art and literature an everyday part of this pairing. If you want family, love, friendship, success and the bumps and drama that come with a good HEA this books for you.
I love the black owned businesses. Lexi returned home to save her family business after her brother and father made a mess of the business in the process she fell in love. What I liked about Monty and Lexi they never tried to fight their feelings of attraction to each other they just gave into those feelings. In the end they both got what they were always searching for.
Absolutely love the focus of this love story- building a viable living space for us, by us in DC. Donna has done it again. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
