I am, first and foremost, a storyteller and an artist--words are my palette. Fantasy is my genre of choice, and I love to explore the darker side of human nature through the filter of fantasy heroes, villains, and everything in between. I'm also a freelance writer, a book lover, and a guy who just loves to meet new people and spend hours talking about my fascination for the worlds I encounter in the pages of fantasy novels.

Fantasy provides us with an escape, a way to forget about our mundane problems and step into worlds where anything is possible. It transcends age, gender, religion, race, or lifestyle--it is our way of believing what cannot be, delving into the unknowable, and discovering hidden truths about ourselves and our world in a brand new way. Fiction at its very best!

A great value for three great books!

The Cerberus Series is an audiobook omnibus of Books 1 through 3 of the Cerberus series and includes Assassination Protocol, Terminal Secrets, and Cyber Strike. All three books have their own self-contained plots while at the same time building toward an overall narrative arc which has a satisfying conclusion in Book 3. The Cerberus series does continue (for a total of 12 books), but the omnibus is an excellent introduction to the world and characters.

In short, the Cerberus series is excellent. It's a different take on the normal sci-fi genre and though its title labels it as a military space opera, it fits better in the technothriller or cyberpunk genre. There are unique and interesting characters, a well-developed plot, plenty of action, and a bit of humor thrown in as well. Cerberus has just about everything you could want from a well-written book; it’s a fun and entertaining read that easily holds my attention and interest. Plus, if you are looking for audiobook value, it's three books (and 28 hours!) for a single credit.

My favorite part of the series is the protagonist: Nolan Garrett, an ex-special forces government assassin. But, he’s unique in that he was medically discharged from the military after becoming a paraplegic. Even with advanced medical technology, he was never able to walk on his own again. But he can regain his mobility through the use of an armored, AI-run cybernetic suit – which he uses exclusively while carrying out contracts as Cerberus. Since Nolan is otherwise bound to a wheelchair, he’s able to convincingly maintain a secret, civilian identity as a handicapped veteran. Though he shares his background with many ex-military type cliches (i.e. discharged after an injury, went hard into drugs and alcohol, and now plagued with doubts and regret), I find the character’s overall concept unique and intriguing. It’s also an excellent plot device, as I think I’d also get bored with a story focused on a highly-skilled, near-invincible techno-assassin. Nolan’s vulnerabilities add suspenseful situations and thrilling conflicts to keep the narrative interesting.

Bronson Pinchot is an excellent narrator, especially for an action-oriented series like Cerberus. He’s got the perfect voice for a gruff assassin but also does a great job with other characters, including Nolan’s integrated AI (who is distinctly female). Pinchot’s performance creates an immersive experience through a variety of unique voices and a tone and temper that matches well with the book.

Special thanks to Aethon Books, who provided me with this book at my request.

Fantastic! The first quarter of an excellent series that will keep you reading when you really should be doing other things. I highly recommend it!
Assassination Protocol - Excellent! A paralyzed assassin working for a secret government department (not entirely voluntarily). Cerberus is a highly trained operator, but the intelligence (or lack there of) on his assigned missions, may well get even him killed. The well crafted story includes none stop action, humor, and some excellent deductive reasoning. This story is very different from other series by this author except in being a very well written, thought out, and entertaining tale with wonderful characters that you quickly care about. I highly recommend this action packed new series.
Terminal Secret - Great story! Cerberus is sent on a mission to his home world. A world that holds nothing but pain for him that he never intended to set foot on again. We learn a lot about Nolan as he figures out mysteries and kicks some butt! I’m really looking forward to book 3.
Cyber Strike - Striking! Nolan & Taia are under attack and Bex is still recovering from her detox. Great story, non-stop action, and wonderful character development. The author does a great job of writing an intriguing self contained story while also moving forward with plot lines that run through the whole series. This series going to be epic!

I have read all 12 books in this series and still cannot say I had enough of Nolan Garrett and the heroic team of friends who join him. I have also individually reviewed every book as read but I cannot recommend this series highly enough to you lucky readers who can now buy all the first 3 books in one set, and binge read to your hearts content, and binge read you will, I guarantee it as this series is so gripping you cannot put the book down till it's end. Nolan starts out as being a highly trained Silverguard marine, who through a battle incident was left in a wheelchair. This caused him to forgo his army colleagues and to turn to drugs becoming an addict and a down and outer. Till a woman saved him from himself. He became the assassin working for the Bureau and their demands on him became ever more crazy and outrageous, and not always righteous either. However they had a hold on Nolan which until the time was right he could not break, so he went after his targets, very often at the cost to his own life. Every book is filled to the brim with fast paced, edge of the seat action, great weaponry details and military precision and heroic characters working side by side with Nolan. This is a series which cannot be missed.

OMG, another LAZY writer... Don't worry about details, or continuity...
for example, galaxy's greatest assassin - never misses, except when need as a plot device because the writer is too lazy to handle the scenario properly. Like when trying to kill Wolfe, he misses easy shots not once, not twice, but thrice ! Sadly not an isolated incident, time after time, this magician with a weapon, repeatedly fails spectacularly as a plot device, missing what he does instinctively only to recover his prowess milliseconds later with the next 10 unimportant targets. Always when trying to remove a critical villain.

Overall, despite a good idea for a series, I found the poor literacy skills and generally juvenile writing style to be so overpowering as to rob any enjoyment from the stories.

I bought the first 3 books as a Amazon special and paid $0.99 AUD
Looks like I paid too much

Pick up this series for a fast action packed, edge of your seat ride as Nolan Garret ex-Silverguard assassin takes you across worlds taking down bad guys and trying not to get caught. More plot twist and turns then any maze as he works his way out deception to the truth. A war time accident leaves him in a wheel chair and a down and out addict. We see him get back on hi s feet to become Cerberus. The first three books in the series are a good way to introduce your self to a well written commanding series you will not want to put down. Andy Peloquin is a master at military drama, fun, adventure and over the top excitement whether in space or on another planet. This is a must have set to start the series.

Military and sci-fi blended like your have never imagined! I am by no means someone that would actively seek out a military tale, however, this is a readers treasure trove! Unique characters with in your face personalities will have you at the edge of your seat constantly, not to mention how quickly each and every one of them will have you believing they are real.Reading this series is an experience I have been happily recommending to other readers, including upcoming young readers. ( YA of course) Boxed sets make great gifts as well, for that uninterrupted escape! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.

I cannot believe nobody has bought this boxset. I said at the beginning I wasn’t into sc-fi but by the time I’d read book two I was completely and utterly engrossed. You have to get it, you won’t regret it. Highly recommended

Every story of Andy's is my favorite until his next and this one was no exception. This one has unparalleled world and character building, with tech beyond anything I've seen or read of. Every book in the installment adds to the "team" and tech used to finish missions. Absolutely loved it!

Thrill ride

An excellent combination of military action and sci-Fi that takes you on a roller coaster ride with more twists and turns than the dragon’s tail. Can’t wait for the next book.

Not for Me

Sorry, but too much “well, he’s dead” followed by too many miracles at the last second. Maybe for teens... Good luck Andy and keep on writing. Your grammar and spelling are better than most.

I loved the characters and progressively merging them with old and new. I’m hoping I’ll find another book after I finish with this review.

Worth a read

While the concepts have been used before this was a nice new spin. It reminded me of the Stainless Steal Rat in a good way

Constant action.

Ok tbh I wasn't sure I'd like these books. I bought them a long time ago and then just never got the urge to start them.....so why buy them?? Plain and simply, because of the author!! I've loved all his other books on and around Einan and I thought I'd at least take a look, plus this bundle of three was on special offer for that month. I'm not usually into books quite like these and that's why I held off for so long, but now I could slap myself, as they're great!! There's lots of action, lots of humour and also deals with certain issues with surprising clarity and in a very sensitive way. Its something that almost everyone has dealt with, either due to their own or just down to knowing someone who has had to deal with it. I don't want to say what 'It' is as I don't want to add any spoilers in any way. Suffice to say, it's very well written and something that I truly believe any one would enjoy, but due to certain sensitive issues I'd advise against any one below the age of 16 years old for sure!! My youngest is 15 and I know that I won't be allowing her to read them yet, but then again that's my decision, as the next person might be OK with letting their 15 year old to read it. It's down to each individuals choice. So other than that I'd recommend these books to anyone, as they're bloody good 👍 👌
