Shayla does it again! She has the ability to pull you so tightly into the story that you feel like you are living it with them. You feel every high and every heartbreak like it's your own.

It’s got grief, death, revenge, kidnapping, betrayal, romance, BDSM, secrets, lies, murder, kinky fuckery and so much fucking love.
I couldn’t tell you the amount of times this story made me cry… So if you’re planning on reading this, I have some advice-
1. Remove makeup
2. Get a new box of tissues
3. Snuggle up into a blanket or whatever
4. Have chocolates, alcohol and snacks ready
5. Prepare to lose sleep as you won’t want to put this down

DNF, couldn’t bear the stupidity anymore. The hero is supposed to be this professional assassin yet the heroine finds his stash of weapons and passports the first time she goes snooping in his house. He kidnaps the heroine as a contractor for ransom and never thinks of hiding his identity. Then he acts surprised when he gets the order to terminate her bc she knows his identity. Nope 👎, won’t continue that book.
As a side note, to me Ezra is a boy‘s name. It can apparently be used as a girl‘s name but it always made me think of an 80 years und gnarly man.

Could not lift my head from this book once I started!! Shayla keeps u hooked from the very beginning. It makes u feel every emotion you have throughout and you fall in love with the characters over and over again. The story is fab, the characters are relatable (and desirable) all in all just a fantastic read.

I love Shayla’s books. This one is a bit different than her others, but I still could not put it down. It’s more of a dark romance. The book has a great storyline, playful banter, and of course it’s sexy and steamy.

I finished the book. And here are a few goods before I start ranting:

- Jax was a good friend
- Diane was a good mother.

Now the bad :
I honestly don't know where to start, you have been warned this contains spoilers in details so here we go...
The H takes the h to a BDSM sex club to show his “dark side ” for the second time and I have nothing against the link club I am pro kink all the way but here's the thing he shows her his dark side by whipping, flogging another girl and then rewarding the ow by fingering her in front of the h and let's not forget they're married here! 🙃
You think this can't get worse but our lovely dear h questions H and somehow is convinced that she can't make him fall in love with her because she isn't enough (mind you this is after she sees her husband finger fucking another woman , making that woman squirt multiple times 🙃) and she just keeps crying and questioning about her own worth! Like woman heard of having a little bit of self respect because she let's him get intimate after this whole ordeal! Now before you come at me saying the H did that on purpose to push her away , his heart was in good place,etc etc , let me remind you that he never even apologized for it 🙃🙃 I finished the book hoping that there would be some groveling or something but both H & h just kept going on pretty normally (which means H being all conflicted and h just crying the whole time thinking why won't he love me!!! ) none of them or even multiple people who have rated this as 5 star without any mention of cheating means perhaps maybe you don't see it as a cheating but at least is problematic!
And I won't even go into details about H's genius idea to get a hickey from a different woman to push h and his feelings away and don't even get me started on our dear h's reaction on seeing it 🙃
No matter how much you say it's to push feelings away etc etc just for show, but you being intimate with anyone in anyway when apparently you're in love with another person it's just cheating, creative ways don't make it not-cheating!
I don't like the H I don't like the h. The whole story ended in such a hurry!
And if you have read my review so far he's a genuine reward for you : go read books by Michelle Heard if you actually want to read books about hitmen finding their love 🤍❤🔥

After reading the reviews for this book, I thought I was onto a winner……
The storyline was actually really good, lots of twists & turns but there was no spark for me, the female MC Ezra, just felt bland, she was like a love sick puppy.
Damien was a beast of a man but again I felt he was missing something.
The writing of this book confused me, she referred to him by his name before she knew it & there was quite a few errors in this book.
I think this book had potential but I feel it missed the mark.

If the movie Knight & Day and Mr and Mrs. Smith had a disturbing, toxic, and slightly funny love child. JEEZ. I still don’t understand what o stumbled upon. It was.. unique, that’s for sure.
This book and what’s in it was definitely NOT in my bindo cards, but here we are. And this was my first book and impression of this author. I was severely confused yet, also intrigued?
Its the type of nook where you question what little moral you have. And then she goes and throws every weapon in her arsenal without warning and you’re left standing there, stunned, trying to process what in the actual fuck just happened.
This book did its job and i really don’t have any other words, other than it was intense yet confusing but still surprisingly entertaining.

Different but as always LOVED IT!
Starts a little different from her other books. And I honestly took a little pause with that because I wasn’t expecting it. But then of course I went back and read it. Which I did not regret at all. This is my fifth book of Shayla’s I have read and I’m eagerly waiting the next! I love her refreshing way of telling a story. Going back and forth between the point of view of the two main characters. You feel EVERYTHING they both feel. You won’t regret reading!

Damien is so headstrong. I love his heart even tho he sure made me irate thru almost the whole book with him constantly trying to convince himself he wasn’t capable of love. Ezra definitely did not deserve the life she was handed but to find love with someone who actually cared about her safety was amazing! I loved this dark romance side of Shaylas writing!

I was invested from the start! Couldn't put it down. This book has love, action, romance, self discovery, hurt,loss and sex!!! Loved the book. Love the way the story develops I like the twist and turns. Hated that it ended it left me wanting more. Shayla Hart has done it again and will keep doing it again.

Couldn't put it down
Yet again Shayla has me gripped, I couldn't put this book down. Absolutely brilliant, different from the first two books but great all the same, nice to read a different type of book from her and this definitely wasn't disappointing.. can't wait to read more of Shayla's work as so far I have loved every book.

Hitman finds Love!
This was another good book by Shayla Hart. I love the storyline and all the characters... especially the main characters, Damien and Ezra. The story was well written and it tugged at you emotionally. It kept me glued from start to finish. I recommend reading this book.

Could not put this book down.
I have read Shayla's previous books so I had high hopes for this one. She didn't disappoint me either. I picked this book up and kept putting it down but had to pick it up again to carry on reading. Shayla has smashed it out the park again. As it is expected a steamy read but the characters pull you in and keep you captivated

Such a Rollercoaster!
This book will keep you on the edge of your seat begging for more! When you think things can't get anymore crazy, you flip the page and get hit from out of left field. I love Ezra and Damiens story and couldn't put it down.

I don't usually read epilogue , with this book I read the prologue and epilogue . This was a good read ... Very entertaining.
