Really I mostly skimmed this. The title intrigued me, but I wasn't surprised at the premise: 'Old age' is NOT a 'cause of death'. Not even an 'ultimate', as opposed to a 'proximate' cause. People die of actual ailments. Some are associated with the process of aging, but 'old age' is still not WHY they die.

I was more than a little disappointed by the contents, though. I grant that there's a place for older people to discuss what their life is like (and how to improve it) as they continue to age. But what I really wanted in THIS book was a discussion of how to PREVENT the deterioration of the body and mind over time. And NOT what too many ads are about (I've never cared what I LOOK like, and don't see any point in whited sepulchers). 'Wrinkles' are NOT the problem. Fragile skin is part of it, but the main problem is things like organ failure. And varnishings, surgeries, and poisons that only affect the exterior won't resolve those.

Until information comes along about how to REALLY 'reverse' the processes of aging, books like this will have to do, I suppose. But I'm really looking forward to those age reversal books, even so.
