Young Adult Gay Fiction

Gabe

I’m about to turn 18, and that means I’m on my own. They say I’m an adult, but I sure don’t feel like one. Will I be able to make it in the real world as an openly gay, former foster kid? I lost my mom when I was very young. Since then, my whole life has been one disaster after another. I’ve learned to depend on myself alone. Always alone, though there is one exception when I met Liam. Even though we were just kids, our bond was unbreakable. He had my back like no one else. But Liam was adopted out of the system and we lost track of each other. I’ve thought about him for years. I miss him so much. If I could find him, would he care that I’m gay? Why do I keep thinking about him? Because everything I’ve ever known is about to change and I’m scared. God, I wish I could find him? Is that even possible? Or is my fate to remain alone for the rest of my life?

When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far...

Gabe's story is emotional and heartfelt. His story is about his struggling journey after the loss of his mother at a young age. Going from one foster home to another was one disaster after another. Gabe's one saving grace was meeting Liam. Even at a young age, their connection was strong. When Liam is adopted, Gabe was once again alone.

Liam was always in Gabe's thoughts over the years. He kept wondering is it in his destiny to ever see Liam again? Will he ever feel happy for once in his life? Gabe can only hope and dream that it will happen in his lifetime.

Gabe loves Liam

Just watch your heart! This book should have come with all kinds of warnings and that is a fact!
Gabe stole my heart from page 1 and he was only 7 years old! Then I am going to tell you that I cried great big fat tears before I got to page 4.
Then we get to visit a ton of our friends from the original Mockingbird Place. Goodness there is so much drama and so much true love mixed together that this beautiful love story flys!!!
Lee/Kris you have such a winner in this new series but please next time with Rivers story Don't Rip My Heart Out So Bad!!!

Lovely! I love Kris Cook writing style and his stories full of love and hope! Gabe’s is (I hope) the first book in a whole new series for our favourite apartment complex, and as we get to witness Gabe and Liam finding each other again and falling madly in love, we also get to meet old friends from the original series again!
