P. A. Crenshaw was born and raised in a small town in New Mexico and now resides in South Carolina. An engineering manager by day, fiction writer by night, she is the proud mother of two amazing young adults and two mischievous kitties who enjoy walking on the keyboard while she is writing (the kitties, not the kids). When not writing, she can be found spending time with family and friends, reading, hiking, traveling, doing yoga, meditating, thinking positive thoughts, and expressing gratitude for life’s blessings. She is currently working on her next novel, AFTER DEATH, the irresistible sequel to AFTER THOUGHT.

I am an avid reader who devours books, especially ones with touches of fantasy in them. After Thought did not disappoint me at all. This novel is a great escape from the stressors of everyday life. It has an amazing plot, character development, and writing style. It is such an interesting and easy read. I loved the characters and was immediately drawn into them and the world that this is set in. I usually find one character to be on the more boring or poorly developed side, but not in this book! I loved all of the characters and am dying to know what happens to them in the next novel.
I have read a huge number of magical realism and fantasy and can say that After Thought will go down as one of my favorites. The world in this novel is unlike anything that I have read before. I always love discovering something that no other books really contain. This is such a unique and amazing novel that I could not put down.
P.A. Crenshaw is definitely someone that you need to watch out for! I highly recommend everyone to pick this up. I am eagerly waiting for the second novel to come out.

Great Read!

I was fortunate enough to receive an advance copy of After Thought and WOW! I fell in love with the characters and finished the book within a few days. Now I am eagerly waiting for book 2 (After Death) to be released so I can continue this journey with Adam and Maddie. The paperback edition has a beautiful cover that represents the magical realism that exists within this story.


It's hard to decide what I enjoyed most: Adam and Maddie’s journey, the author's style or the suspense elements. I love how P.A. Crenshaw incorporates the benefits of positive thinking and shows what you can accomplish through determination.

After Thought is a great book that I would highly recommend. P.A. Crenshaw is a great new Author and I look forward to reading her future work.

I loved it! The magical realism caught my attention. The suspense, adventure, and romance kept me hooked until the very end of this urban fantasy.

P. A. Crenshaw's use of rich descriptions provided exactly the kind of detail I want in a book. The backstory provided about Maddie made me feel like I knew her. I was rooting for Maddie and Adam right away. I am looking forward to reading about what happens next in the sequel After Death.
