Water Bearer's Song

Rate this book
Water Bearer's Song is a collection of poetry and prose that sings of days of quarantine, of threads of loneliness, isolation and nostalgia knitting the existence of human lives in all the ages and times, whether a pandemic or not. The song might appear to be of notes of grief, but in the meditative depths of the water of empty spaces, it transcends loss and emerges to be the echoing sound of human resilience and its beauty.

There is very little, and at times nothing like this in the air. But never is it precious. Nor is it ever pretentious. This work appears always to do what it must. And that is its strength at last. Breaking the chain of sound and noun that normally traps the consciousness we bring to reading, these poems liberate us and free our thoughts to travel in new directions. One of the more astounding works I have seen in a long, long time.

A collection of poetry that is powerful and moving. Poetry is such an intimate way to put soul into words and this is a perfect example. Reading it again, slower, so I don’t miss anything. Beautiful.

Water Bearer's Song is a powerful collection. There is palpable anguish in these poems with a sense of beauty and love poking out between the pages.
