OMG this book was good from start to finish
I Finished this book in one evening…not one day, but in one evening, that’s how good it was. Okay so I’m not going to give all the Tea, buttttt I will say a few ppl need their a.s.s whipped. As a mom I could never not be in my children’s
lives. Somethings you have to let go or don’t be involved in, and that’s how these girls mom should have been thinking. Because of poor choices as a parent, Kandee went through the unthinkable and was degraded by the hands of a loved one. She’s now grown and doing her own thing, but has a very cold cold heart towards everything and everyone from her family. I wonder what is going to happen next, I hope she ends up having a better adulthood then what she has as a child.

Sad story
This story was heartbreaking.. Kandi went through things that no child should ever be put through.. rape, abuse, and incest.. Her mom loved her drugs more than she loved her daughters, forcing them to stay with relatives that were cold hearted and full of hate. Mike was a pedophile, and used Kandi to satisfy his disgusting desires. When her mom returns clean and ready to be a mom to them.. it’s much too late, Kandis’ innocence is gone and she has no one to blame but her mom..

Tragic but Kept Me Interested
The storyline is very sad and a lot of tragic events take place, but I couldn't put the book down!
The reason for the two stars is the author's grammar, it is horrendous!! I just cannot grasp how the author of so many books doesn't know the difference between to and too, affect and effect....!! And where is the editor??
Lady Lissa is an amazingly talented and imaginative storyteller but I'm getting so irritated with her grammar that I sadly may have to stop reading her books.

Trigger book
This book took me back to a dark place. But for me it is reading how others dealt with this situation and how they ovwrcame it. This story is so true within black families. You feel alone, disgusting, ashamed but you don't want to tell everyone and don't want everyone to know.

O.m.g i hope mike and his friends get everything that thing tgat they deserve... How you rape a 13 year old? And then turn around and get her pregnant and your cousin at that... Man i hope they pay for that and also that kandee is ok and her aunt ruby what she deserve, why do that to a child tho?

Lissa honey you did this!!!! That perverted Mike is crazy!!! I hate Lander is being so hard on her mom though. I want Mike in jail. I hope in this second book he goes to jail and she gets some act right in her. Can't wait for the next part

Excellent read
Great read it was sad at first but as Landed grew up she turned and went wild and angry as always the Author surprises the reader and keeps you on your toes great read I would recommend anyone to read. On to part 2

Poor Kandee had to endure all that pain. I’m wondering why Mike didn’t leave her alone. He was harassing her for no reason. She was trying to put the ordeal behind her, which I see as impossible because it produced a child. I think she should go to the police and tell them everything!

Good Read
This is the first time I have ever read anything from Lady Lissa. Overall a good read. Too wordy in some scenes. It is interesting. I wondered why Ruby treated Kandee so bad. Realizing its her father, Kevin. Didn't see that one coming. Looking forward to Part 2.
