Just read in one day! Couldn’t put it down. Nicci, a pack less panther shifter, runs after she learns that her boss has sold the cafe she works at and won’t be keeping on the staff. She finds a piece of jewellery as she is tidying up and takes it. Dru, an alpha panther shifter’s son, escapes to Nowhere for a break from his drowning responsibilities. Nicci and Dru chance upon each other and devise great plans for the uninhabited town of Nowhere.
This is a great first book in the series. I like the possibility of Nicci and Dru’s relationship and their ideas for the town. Dru’s father is clearly not happy with Dru shirking his responsibilities as the future alpha and I can see that he will be a spanner in the works for future books in the series. There are so many ways this series could go as Nicci finally finds out where she is from and her pack want her back as well as Dru’s fiancé that he called it off with. I look forward to seeing Nicci and Dru face these challenges together and hope they become a strong couple who stick by each other through, what are going to be, some tough times ahead.

I heard were-panthers and an abandoned town and I said sign me up! The concept of this book immediately piqued my interest (who doesn't love a good abandoned town as a setting!), and while the start of the book was a little rocky, ultimately I did end up enjoying this.

I would have really liked to see more of Nicci and Dru before they met each other and ended up in Nowhere. I think this would have helped to ground the characters's personalities, because I did feel like I had no idea who these people were for a good chunk of the book. However, once we did get to know the characters a little better, I did end up liking them!

The writing is pretty good and definitely easy to read, though it could be awkward at times - especially the dialogue. I should mention that I am Canadian and have never been to Australia, so maybe take my review of the dialogue with a grain of salt.

Overall I think this is a fun read! I had my issues with the story here and there, but it really is a good amount of fun.

As a fellow Australian I was happy to read a book set here in Australia & enjoyed the panther shifter aspect. I loved the premise of this story. Dru & Nicci find themselves in a deserted town one night for different reasons. Dru takes this as an opportunity to start a new life & rebuild the town & start a new pack & hopes that Nicci will join him. Nicci having been on her own almost her whole life is not use to other panther shifters. She is excited by the prospect of being a part of pack, but her attraction to Dru & her past could put a holt on her happiness.

I loved that we got to see a new pack form from the beginning & excited about the continuing story of watching the pack be formed & the town be built. This was a quick read & can't wait to see where this series goes.

It does need another edit for the spelling & grammar issues. These have nothing to do with the Australian English used by author.

Nicci and Dru are two alpha were-panther shifters who meet in an abandoned town called Nowhere. Nicci was abandoned as a child and never had a pack to belong to. She runs to this town to get away from the law. Dru is a race car driver who is escaping from his own popularity as well as his fate within the pack. The town lures both of them in with a welcoming feeling. Is this a chance to build their own pack the way they would want it? Or will they go their own way after they have explored?

This was an interesting story. Both of them will have people from their past try to lure them back. For Dru, his ex-fiancée Ashley wants him back. For Nicci, an alleged cousin, Jakob, from the pack she never knew wants her to join them. Will they return to the past, or stay in Nowhere and build a future together? Regardless of their decision, there is still another danger they are not aware of….

Dru is heir apparent to a pahther pack, and a well-known figure in the media. But he is rather unhappy with both his father and his fiancée.
Trying to get away from everything to clear his head, he lands in a ghost town, called Nowhere.
Here he meets Nicci, whose car broke down. Both need a new start and Dru sees the potential in building a new pack, away from his domineering father.
With his best friend, some pack members, who also want to leave his father and Nicci he begins to start over.
This book does not really have much action. It feels like a slow build up of a story that will eventually get interesting.
Despite all that, the inter-"human" relationships are interesting to read, as is the budding love between Drue and Nicci.

Interesting start to a new series. Two paranormals finding each other in the same deserted town must be fate. Except he is rich and has resources. And she is basically destitute & on her last dime. The hope this book offers for the main characters to start over fresh in this deserted town is what kept me turning the page. Unfortunately the two are constantly up against so many people & issues trying to prevent their positive push forward. It does lead to a second book which hopefully will allow happiness for the main characters. I only gave it a 4 star review due to the editing issues. The author did leave a note on the Amazon page saying she wrote it based in Australia ( which I loved by the way) and used Australia to English editing. A wonderful story that is an easy read.

The girl who never really belongs anywhere but is always there.
He, the golden boy everyone gets along, is always in the center of attention but never really made his own choices.
They accidentally bump into each other in the town of Nowhere. Strongly attracted to each other but do nothing with it.

Nicci who is on the run and her car breaks down in nowhere
Dru who wants time for herself without responsibilities decided to stop in nowhere

Together they see opportunities for the town to build it up and make it a paradise for others like them; panther shifters. Forming a pack without the applicable hierarchy but with chosen alphas.

A dream thwarted by Dru's fiancé, Dru's father and Nicci's lost family.

An open end! I hope to be able to read part 2 soon

Literally could not put this book down started reading at midnight and finished at 4:30am, who needs sleep with a book like this. I suppose I was a bit biased as the book was written in an Australian location and as an Australian I was very comfortable with the type of speech and could identify with location descriptions. The characters were a good mix with loveable people like Cody, the villains like the father and Ash and of course the complicated romance couple Nicci and Dru. Would love to see where this all goes in a future book. Negatives, needs more editing of the grammar and spelling. I also think a prequel would be good to introduce more of Nicci and Dru before they met.

Really creative plot, I liked the way she handled the werepanther pack dynamics and the main characters relationship with packs. The story starts out with mentions of werebadgers and other were-animals, I actually would love to hear more about some of those. Once our main characters meet in Nowhere I really like how the story builds from the two of them getting to know each other and then inviting others to the town.

The author noted that this book was edited using Australian English, but I'm pretty sure there were still some grammar/editing mistakes in addition to the Australian slang I wasn't familiar with. The grammar was occasionally a bit distracting but it was definitely worth the read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Although the book is a little rough around the edges, I enjoyed the unfolding story of Nicci, a lonely lost panther shifter, and Dru, a famous race driver who also happens to be a panther shifter, in outback Australia. I love rebuilding stories, and am looking forward to seeing how the town comes back to life in subsequent instalments. I found Ashley, and even Caitlin, a little underdeveloped, so their animosity was less believable than I would have liked. Certainly an enjoyable tale and I look forward to the next in the series.

Interesting concept for the start of this series. Nicci and Dru are both panther shifters who have ended up in an abandoned town in Australia called Nowhere. He is looking for peace and quiet to make some decisions about his future. She is escaping after losing her job in a lousy café run by a feuding beaver shifter couple. He is the first panther shifter that Nicci has ever met since she was a foster child. So starts the story of this bizarre story and interesting romance with lots of other characters interfering along their path. Well written interesting paranormal romance.

What's more special than werewolves? Australian Panthers!

This book is unique in a way cause Aussie shifters is such a new thing for me. This is my first ever Panther book.

Now let's get to the fun part, this book follows Dru (future Alpha ) when he meets Nicci (abandoned shifter) in a deserted town called nowhere( I kid you not ). This is a short book that you can read during your lunch break or something. I think it's worth reading but they may be parts that may make you cringe ( cause I did).

Was not expecting this
Nicci and Dru are two alpha panther shifters with uncertain futures, who meet in an abandoned town called Nowhere. Something about this town is drawing them in, feeling that they have come home.
Can two damaged souls build a new pack that caters to all? Will their pasts divide them and ruin what they are working for? This tale has it all, action, drama, intense emotions, fated mates, amazing storyline, and heart. I highly recommend this tale which ends in a cliffhanger.

Panther shifters.......

I haven't read any books by this author before, or any about panther shifter, until this book. A little bit different from other shifters, but not too much, very ruthless though. There's still quite a few errors with spelling, missing words, extra letters, spacing, etc., but overall, I enjoyed the book. Look forward to the next book in this series!!

Update: Book is being edited, so it should read better.

I liked this story that takes an interesting twist to the shifter world set in Australia. The characters were interesting while being both good and bad at the same time depending on which one you are looking at. Plus the central setup to the series was cool and kept me reading to the end to see if Nicci and Dru would ever really talk to each other and straighten out their issues with each other. The ending made me scream and want the next book now. Just a good introduction to a new series with promise. Interesting enough to keep me reading to finish it in one sitting and want more.

This is my 1st book by this author and I actually really enjoyed the storyline. The hand of fate in Dru and Nicci meeting was handled well. I will definitely look out for the 2nd installment. My reason for not giving 5 stars is the horrendous use of punctuation. I have highlighted all of the errors and made notes on them. This book definitely needs reviewing before hitting the shelves as readers won't be happy.

**I received this free ARC from Book Sirens and am voluntarily leaving a review.**

Honest thoughts: Good story, decent characters...this could be fun. WHAT? WAIT? HUH?
The editorial issues completely undid this for me. This could have been a good book. It has an interesting premise and sounds like it could go places. And I know that ARC's are NOT finished or polished. But honestly, you can't put a book out there in this rough of shape grammatically and expect readers to give it a great review. It was so disjointed that it took away and distracted from the story.

A very fast read! Not sure if it was the book or just my natural speed, but I finished this book in just a couple of hours.

What a fabulous story that I hope becomes a series!

I love the fact that the two panthers never crossed paths before and how it all works out. I won't go into details here because I hate spoilers. But it was a great read.

I enjoyed this book. The characters were believable and likable for the most part. The story was not the traditional shifter pack needs a mate story. This was a stand alone with a happily ever after but there was a teaser for the formation of the next in the series. I received a ARC for free and I am voluntarily writing this review.

I love books that come in a series! more to love. And this was a very interesting one to grab my attention. I like how they opened the series here by showing us the lay of the land without getting boring. I like that there are challenges to their story that help shape them and also preludes to a more interesting back story that they have to overcome.

I would once have gone nowhere near a book that contained shifters. I didn’t really understand what they were.

Now I realise they add another dimension to a book. The fact that they can do something extraordinary really does make it more interesting.

However, when I began reading, I wasn’t sure this was going to be for me, but I was wrong. I soon found myself involved in the story and wondering what would happen next with every turn of the page.

Starting again is what the main characters do. They start from scratch to build a new town where people like them can live. It was a great concept that includes a brooding romance.

I eventually came to the end of the book but knew there was so much more to come.
