Grizzly 399‛s Hibernation Pandemonium - Hardback

Rate this book
Grizzly 399 is a well-known bear in North America. At the age of 24, a ripe old age for a grizzly, she was thought to be too old to produce any more offspring. However, in the spring of 2020, she emerged from her den with four beautiful cubs. This story is an imaginary tale about what might happen in the bear family's first year. It includes a science section about Grizzly 399 and hibernation, along with stunning photos of the real Grizzly 399 and cubs.

Geared for younger readers, this is a great book that shows what hibernation might be like for a mother grizzly with 4 cubs. The addition of a section at the end with Thomas Mengelsen's beautiful photos of the actual, incredible Grizzly 399 and her four cubs is such a perfect ending.
