Katie has had it with her tired, outdated, uninspiring collection of shoes. She needs a re-boot that will be a shoe-in to bring her happiness. Off she goes to the shoe store and ...
"The sales clerk asked, "Which shoes do you choose?" Katie said, "I want shoes that are braggy, not baggy." "Let me see," said the clerk.
Off he goes to sort through a mountain of shoe boxes that home the most stylish, outlandish, imaginative, silly and wonderful shoes for Katie to try on. With this overwhelming assortment of shoe styles will Katie find the exact pair that will strike her fancy and return home fulfilled and happy?
This is a delightful story that kids will love. The illustrations are colourful, magical, and full of imaginative creativity. They truly are superb. Written in funky rhyme kids will be mesmerized by the outlandish possibilities and Katie's reaction to each and every pair that she tries on. "Which Shoes Do You Choose?" is pure joy and I highly recommend it!

Children's books come and go. Some are clever, some...not so much. Which Shoes Do You Choose? shines brightly above many others in the books for children ages 2 through 8 category. The author, Aaron Shepard, and illustrator, Wendy Edelson, both mega-award winners, have brilliantly put together this very upbeat adventure story of Katie going to buy some shoes that SHE chooses. The illustrations are beautiful. Stunning even. Everything about this book just simply works. I am laughing at myself as I write this that I am actually fanboying over a book. All I know is this would have been a wonderful book to read with my children. They are both in their early 40's and I might just read it with them anyway.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A very cute, very fun book. I like shoes. So many to choose from here. "Spiffy, not icky." The illustrations are great and spot on. They really make this book. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from Hidden Gems.
