My family's house is filled with lots of kids and pets, but my mom always blames me for making a mess. This past year I was blamed for all kinds of things you'll see, but I keep telling my mom...It Wasn't Me.

This a cute book with great rhymes and great pictures. I think most children can relate to being blamed for things they didn’t do, especially if they hav younger siblings.
A young man is blamed for all the mishaps that occurred in his household, his mum does not believe him when he is tells her it wasn’t me, however you seen realise that other hands are in play including a pet dog and younger brothers. Eventually a Christmas tree is toppled mum realises that it actually wasn’t the young man.
This book was funny. I enjoyed the rhymes in this book. The main character was relatable in many ways. I like this funny book. I will make sure some kids at my church read this book as well. They enjoy reading and when they see me one girl in particular always ask me about books. So I will share this book with her. Keep on writing great children's books! Thank you.
A book filled with lessons to be learned, not just about accountability and honesty, but also about family dynamics like sibling relationships and parents with their children. All throughout the year, readers can find suggestions on what things kids can do each month, and the pets too! Reminded me of the many times I also told my mom, “It wasnt me!" 😁
Who hasn't been wrongly accused of something they didn't do? Well, Peter surely was! It's a nice story to read to your kids. The story revolves around Peter, a young boy who constantly finds himself in trouble for messes he didn't make. It would be relatable tale for children who have experienced similar situations. As my son said, "You see? It's not always me either!". I really liked the crayon-like drawings.
The authors and illustrator have collaborated on a clever book that takes on the value of responsibility from several perspectives. The poetic verse presents Mom's perspective while the illustrations give young Peter's point of view. This would be great book for parents to share with their youngsters. Think of "I Spy" with a lesson.
It Wasn't Me was a book about a boy who was pretty much blamed for everything. Follow Peter through the year and see how he feels about being blamed for everything. The illustrations are simple and relatable for younger children. I do wish in the end the parent would have apologized for always blaming Peter.
This was a fun story about a young man that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time on multiple occasions. I chuckled because it reminded me of myself with my five siblings growing up. Sometimes I should have just accepted responsibility while other times I genuinely meant, "it wasn't me!"
This story was fun to read. We parents are all too familiar with the line “It wasn’t me!” How many times have we heard this? LOL! I liked how the author uses the story to go through all the seasons of the year, following along with the incidents occurring. Kids will love this, laugh and relate. Parents will laugh too!
This is a cute story for that poor child who gets blamed (or feels like they get blamed) for everything. It’s a good discussion starter on honest communication between a parent and a child. Parents need to also be reminded that no one wins when you play the blame game!
This is a sweet book that allows parents to see things from a child prospective. The lesson here is to always tell the truth no matter what the consequences might be. Read the story to find out who. The illustrations are engaging and fun and compliments the story.
For the ones that get blamed for everything. This cute and simply illustrated book follows the story of a little boy who always gets blamed for everything - no matter how often he says "It wasn't me".. Lovely, relatable story - but it would have been nice for the parents to nit just accept that it wasn't always him but apologise.
Its a cute funny story . It is something which we all can see happening in our house with our little one's. A nice and fun way to portray the message. This book will especially be loved by kids who are blamed for everything, although they are not at fault. Good read for parents to understand a child's perspective!
This is an easy to read, light-hearted story that every child can relate and most importantly, laugh about. I think the monthly incidents are a clever addition to the story. I can see this book as the type that starts as a silly read-to and becomes one of my kid's favorite read-myself books.
What a cute rhyming story where Peter is blamed for all the things that go wrong, and it wasn't him! Loved the story and how in the end Peter is happy. Our youngest daughter loved the illustrations and kept wondering who did it. A great bedtime read for little ones.
Fun and easy to read book! Every parent (and child) can relate to the situations in this book that happen on a daily basis in any household. I love that it tells the story from the child’s point of view. My adult children still say “It wasn’t me!”
I enjoyed this story. As the oldest child, I was blamed often for things that weren’t my fault either, so I understood how Peter felt. The pictures were cute, but I wish that the mom had apologized at the end.
A wonderful book for kids who feel like they are blamed for things they never did. Sometimes as parents in our busy world we forget to stop and look at the full picture before jumping to conclusions and blaming a child. Polanco has a great ending.
We really enjoyed this book, about two thirds of the way through the book they figured out that it was the dog. They were pretty proud of themselves. Very clever mystery for young children.
I think the book was well written, but the rhyme scheme was somewhat off. The print seemed rather small for an ebook, making it difficult to read. The pictures were delightful. Overall, it was a cute book.
A very funny book that kids will relate to. The story is about a young boy who constantly finds himself in trouble but it's never his fault. Beautafully illustrated with loveable characters. A nice read your kids will enjoy.
This is a great story to read to children. It's almost like a mystery, trying to figure out who actually did it! Was it the dog? The cat? The little brothers?? I also enjoyed the activity page at the end.
Innocent story with great rhymes I really liked the rhymes in this book and the innocence of the child. This book is about a little boy who is blamed for all the mess in the house. The book follows his journey each month of the year. Well written. Kudos to the author.
A beautifully told story with great illustrations to go along with it. A story about the eldest boy getting the blame for everything and it wasn't him. A great book for kindergarten children. Great book and highly recommend.
This is a cute story that every parent and child can relate to! In well flowing rhyme, a child describes events in his home when he was blamed for something he didn’t do. This is a funny and cute book!
Not Me! A fun short story about a young boy who gets blamed for everything. The author comes up with some clever ways for him to be blamed. I love the way she ends the story. A great book to share with young ones who have been blamed for something they haven't done.
A cute book. It flowed well and most of the rhymes were seamless. I love how relatable Peter is! I’m sure lots of children will flock to this book for solace (and entertainment)! The illustrations were beautiful.
