Do not get abducted by a dragon mob boss. Kreed will freak. Zero stars.

Abducted by Lazateth, Nik awakes to find herself in a concrete cell with no memories. Thankfully, she's not alone. Royce, a doctor with kind eyes and a caring demeanor, was ripped from his own life and forced to care for her. Working together, the two escape the torturous compound.

Memories violently returning, the bond she shares with Kreed snaps back into place stronger and deeper than before. Terrified by their connection, Nik knows without a shadow of a doubt he is coming for her.

Her only hope of reclaiming her fire is to travel to Ska'Moira, the world of dragons, and learn more about that long hidden part of herself. What she finds there will challenge everything she thought she knew.

As darkness closes in from all sides, can Nik reclaim her flame and wield it to defeat Lazateth? Or will she be the tool he uses to ascend to unimaginable power?

I loved ashes of blood so was eager to read Ashes of flame and what a fab follow up it is! Fast paced and action packed I was immediately lost into this world once again. The twists and turns kept me on my toes and it’s intense as we continue with Nik on her adventure/journey. We meet some fab new characters along the way and there’s humour, romance and excitement. Overall a great addition to the series and I look forward to reading book three!

I'm gonna write one review for the whole trilogy. This was entertaining and had some creativity when it came to our old fav UF creatures. The author does mix up their origins and even rewrites what a "vampire" is. The downside though is that all three of these books suffer from a lot of inconsistencies and pacing issues. There is truly a remarkable amount of plot inconsistencies throughout so I would say this really could use more editing for just that alone.

Gah - don't hate the three stars, I have my reasons and I'm not sure that others will feel the same way which is good, because it is a good book.

This book has so much action and adventure - including traveling to another world with a cute human doctor while your bond-connected guy is frantically trying to make sure you're okay.

I think a lot of my mixed feelings would have been "avoided" if Kreed, who was SO close behind them, was allowed to jump through the portal. It made so much sense in my mind for him to go. I get that Royce got his time in the spotlight, but after everything that went down in the first book plus how the second book started, the need for the separation never made sense. I know she had a very big revelation for him, but she didn't know about it until right before she jumped, so why was she running from him (and also her captors, yes, that was something that she and Royce needed to escape) when all she had to do was wait 30 seconds to bring him along and figure it out.

I think a lot of readers will be totally ok with how this goes down because there is so much chaos surrounding their escape, so please ignore my lack of being able to let that go🤣 I think I was looking forward to them growing their bond, trust, and relationship which was so clearly there (even beyond the bond) by the end of the first book that I was thrown off.

But, again, a whole lot of action, adventure, twists, turns, and more were found in this exciting sequel!!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Love the new characters- Iza and Zallas are my fav!
I want them to be on my side in a fight. Two bad a## lady dragons!
Nik wakes up with no memory and finds herself locked in a cell. Royce is the human who was kidnapped and task to heal her. What can he do - he's human and she is a sup ?
A mysterious man (yes he was in the last book) shows up and frees them. He also takes them to a rip and sends them to Ska’Moria (dragon world). What a learning experience that is for Nik!
Meanwhile  Kreed is searching for Nik everywhere . He finally figures out their relationship and needs to explain he truly loves Nik. Nik is still confused.
Another cliff hanger is how it ends. Read this book to get all the twists and turns. Experience  Niks emotional roller-coaster ride for yourself.

Like I said about the first book, I binge read these!

This continues from where the previous one ended and starts with Nik not remembering what happened. She’s being treated by a Pure Human doctor called Royce who helps her escape and they get away from the rogue dragon and are rescued by Ruvaen. He ends up sending her to the world of the dragons to learn more about herself, and her heritage.

It seems like this book would be a bit boring since Nik is learning about her heritage, but oh no! It was quite entertaining and refreshing to learn more about what Nik is and about her people.

This was a great continuation of the series, and look forward to the next book! I received a free digital copy from @rbntours and the author. All thoughts are my own.

Book 2 takes a whole new direction!! It was a good backstory type middle filler you need in a good series. I think it ended a little too abruptly for my tastes and I would have loved a little more growth in the 💖 department to give it a 5 star but i enjoyed it, wanted to keep reading it and can’t wait to read book 3!

This was a great follow-up to Ashes of Blood!

Nik escapes from Lazateth after being abducted. Rayce the nice human doctor helps her escape. She has no memories they slowly come back. She has to go to the dragon world to get her fire back that she thinks Lazateth stole from her....She gets many answers and finds some good people.

I can't wait to read what happens next!

This book brought so much more to the series,
and I for one and hooked! Secrets were unfolded, characters grew and changed beautifully, and the plot twists held me til the very end. And though I got some answers, I know the story is far from over....and trust me when I say I am Not complaining.

An enjoyable read

An enjoyable read for those who like shifters, dragons and the like. Second book in the series and more a 3 1/2 stars. What let it down was the editing, or lack of.

This book will keep you cracking up at Nik’s antics while discovering new worlds and characters to love! The story is fast-paced, immediately drops you right into the action, and doesn’t let up until the wild excitement of the ending. I was really looking forward to getting more answers after book one and wasn’t disappointed. More about Nik’s background and several big reveals were made, helping me puzzle out the pieces and imagine how the story might play out. A majority of the story does take place in another world with new characters, which I enjoyed, but also left me missing my favorites such as Brutus and Lyndee. The Neanderchicks were one of my favorite parts and the addition of Royce was charming and sweet. While Kreed doesn’t have much page time, he makes great use of when he does. I love his intensity and protectiveness and the tension between he and Nik is delicious. If you enjoy fast-paced paranormal urban fantasy with humor, romance and lots of action, give this a try!
