This read like a prologue.

And would you really leave your small child ( who you didn't want to leave at home with a babysitter a couple of nights earlier ) with a man who after speaking to for an hour or two... you had sex with on a beach... for the whole day?

Too fast... not enough character driven development.

As I said, the whole thing read like a prologue.

Jasmine Callum was exhausted working back-to-back shifts as a nurse at the hospital. She finally has off two days and her sister Jessica insists she come out and have fun at a bar! But some young army guys from a new base just opened recently, Fort Baylor, came in and changed her entire attitude, especially when the tall one she had picked out starts coming toward her.

Brandon Blackwood grew up in a desert town and joined the Alpha Special Forces to not only see the world but to see an actual ocean! The guys in training had a night out and his Commander encouraged him to have a good time. Thinking no one there among the college crowd was his type, he suddenly spotted a curvy woman and introduced himself to Jasmine. Luckily her sister was there to introduce Jasmine since she seemed to have forgotten her name. When he asked if she wanted to go for a walk since this was not his usual hangout, Jess again came to her rescue and said yes. They walked to an old, quiet boardwalk and enjoyed each other’s company. When he shivered from the cold, she took his hands and blew her warm breath on them, just as she would for her son. Then Brandon kissed her, finally lifting her onto the railing since he was so tall and both of them were struggling to reach each other.

They wanted more and laid down their jackets under the boardwalk, and they had a magical night. But in the morning, Jasmine told him her son was her life and she had no time for anyone else. He respected her decision, but he never stopped thinking of her. Remembering the diner Jasmine told him to try, he went there a week later – and she and her son Dannie were having breakfast. She invited Brandon and Jason to join them. When she got a call from the hospital that they urgently needed her, she had no one to watch her son until Brandon and Jason offered. It was so obvious Dannie was a great kid, raised well, and hoping for a dad. It couldn’t happen now, but after his two-year tour of duty, maybe he would come “home” to his new family in Buford?

This book introduced us to several really wonderful people. Brandon was so thoughtful and caring. Jasmine and her sister were such sincere and good people. Brandon’s friends on the team were also comfortable to be around. Will Jasmine wait for Brandon to come home to her? And what has happened to Jason’s family when he gets the letter to go home immediately? There is much going on, so don’t miss this book which starts an intriguing series!

Finding Love When You Least Expect It

Engaging short story of finding love where you least expect it. Brandon is on leave for the night from the Alpha Special Forces training and the guys head to a crowded bar to relax. Jasmine is a younger single mother of a five year old son who has been dragged to the bar by her sister Jess. This is the first time she’s been out clubbing since her son Donnie was born. When they meet, there is palpable chemistry immediately and Brandon convinces Jasmine to leave the noisy bar and go for a walk. Jasmine decides not to see Brandon again after that night and he respects her wishes until fate lands them both at the same diner. They way Brandon acts when he meets Donnie is amazing, he understands Donnie comes first to Jasmine. They way he answers Donnie’s curious questions and converses with him is truly sweet.

Brandon was a soldier assigned to the local base and was in town for the weekend with his army buddies. Jasmine is a nurse in the local ER and a single mom who has not been out in years. Her sister talks her into going out with her. They meet and sparks fly. Are they it for each other? Great read with great characters. It is a continuation story though and continues to the next book in the series.

Good but too short
It's a short romance, pretty cute but partially ending, with a cliffhanger for the rest of the series.
It's tender, cute and a little hot, but ultimately simple because of this ending between Brandon, a military man, and Jasmine, a single mom nurse.

Instalove with special forces soldier and a single mom. Brandon is just a doll—jumps in with both feet and just lets Jasmine know what he wants with her and how they can work. Four stars because the sexy time scenes did not measure up to others I have read by this author.

The author has given us a case of instant attraction. Brandon is in the small town of Buford while training for the Army Special Forces. One night at the bar, catching sight of Jasmine, is enough to change his world. The story ends with a mini cliffhanger and I cannot wait for the next book.

This is the first book in this new series. The story was enjoyable, the characters are likeable and fit well together. It is fast paced and leaves you with a cliffhanger. Looking forward to read what comes next for these two. A great book.

Brandon and Jasmine met in a bar and fell instantly in love. But she is kind of hesitant because of her past experiences. Brandon was such a sweet and caring guy. Insta love with a HFN. Can't wait for Jason's story😍😍😍

Story does not read well in the language used. Broken English- couldn’t read past chapter 2. Disappointing but just could get into the story.

Good very quick read ... perfect for a lunch hour. Not quite a cliffhanger, but definitely leads you right into the next book.
