Quint heads to Las Vegas and starts investigating the disappearance of Emmy Peters, a gorgeous twenty-two-year-old showgirl.
There are zero suspects and a scarcity of evidence. It's as if Emmy vanished into thin air.
Quint remains determined, his investigation leading to gorgeous women, gambling, big-time casinos, and other Sin City trademarks. And yet, he's making very little progress.
But then he gets a text that changes everything. Someone claims they know where Emmy is buried.
Nine Days in Vegas is the wildest and most shocking case of Quint's young career.
I wish I could give this book 10 stars, it's just that good. "Nine Days In Vegas" is the fourth book in the Quint Adler series. Quint is a journalist turned PI, and the couple of cases he has been involved in was full of murder and mayhem. The writing and character development in these books is outstanding. Once you start reading you will not be able to put it down. This author has several books out, "The Puppeteer", "The Patsy", "The Bartender", "Revenge At Sea", and "The Quint Adler Thriller" series. All of these books are five star reads. I believe a book 5 is coming later this year, and I cannot wait.
This is the 4th in the series about Private Investigator, Quint Adler. Wow, I read in a review where these were addictive and they are. This was another 5 stars!! The action just didn't stop. You don't have to start the series from the 1st one, but you will be missing out if you don't.
In this one, Quint is now a P.I. with his license, but no cases are coming at him yet! His girlfriend, Cara, and him are at ends about the last case in Hollywood and she doesn't want him leaving again, especially if he considers taking the case that was offered him when he was in Hollywood!
The more Quint thinks about his friend asking him to investigate the disappearance of his niece, Emmy, the more he realizes he wants to give it a try. Cara is not going with him and this time they break up for good.
Now Quint is in Sin City and meeting with the father of the missing Emmy. He offers him a good paycheck to find out if she is still alive and Quint accepts to take this one on!. But is Quint going to risk his life again? If you read these books, you know he will and you just never know where his adventure is going to take you (or him)
This is the fourth Quint Adler mystery I had read and while I greatly enjoyed this earlier ones this book was hard to finish. Nothing about this story, characters, or mystery interested me. I kept waiting for a grand pay off or development and it just never dropped. The story felt rushed and even silly at times. I wish I could put my finger on it but it did not have the complexity and energy The Bay Area Butcher had. I am going to take a break from the Quint Adler series as they are becoming formulaic and lacking depth. Swing and a Miss for me. 2/5 stars only because of my respect for the Quint Adler series as a whole.
"Nine Days In Vegas" is yet another pulse pounding mystery thriller from the brilliant mind of Brian O'Sullivan. I love everything about his books - his writing style, his characters, and the way the tension builds slowly at first - and then sweeps you into a tsunami of terror. I am coming to realize that reading this riveting series in bed isn't conducive to good sleep. While it takes me about 3 hours to finish a book, it then takes me 4 hours to decompress enough to fall asleep.
All of Brian O'Sullivan's books are must-reads. Just don't read them right before bed.
Wow! What a ride. This is book 4 in a series by O'Sullivan. each one gets better. In this one rookie private investigator, Quint Alder takes a case of a missing showgirl in Vegas. She has been missing for 2 months and presumed dead. Quint sets out to find her dead or alive and who took her and why. I found this story to be intense with lots of surprises. This author is brilliant in describing the characters that the reader becomes emotionaly attached. If you like crime/mystery and investigations this is the book for you. I plan to read all 8 in this series and his other stand alone books as well.
What a story. I had forgotten that I pre-ordered this and once I started, I couldn't put it down. This book kept me going from the first paragraph until the very end. I was so sorry to have it end, I pre-ordered the next one as soon as I finished. Every book about Quint's adventure seems to be better than the last. It kept me on the edge of my seat, I had a hard time putting it down, I wanted to find out what happened next, kept me guessing until the very end. Can't wait for the next installment.
I’ve read all five and the PI narratives are enjoyable my favorite would be A Knife Through The Heart -
All his books get exciting around page 70 when everything starts coming together- Nine Days was not an exception and did move quickly after this point. Calculated moves which are usually unprofessional end up solving his cases.
Quick reads - you need to like narratives with a character’s every thought in print.
The author did a masterful job of creating a delightful tale with lots of clever twists and turns - except including the Cara garbage! This inclusion was a distraction from the first to the last chapter! None of the Cara nonsense contributed anything to the plot - it was just silly add on!
This "Quint" book didn't disappoint! I enjoyed the different city since his other books all took place in the bay area. The author does a great job of developing his characters - so much so that I think if they came to my door, I would recognize them! I had a hard time putting this one down. I look forward to his next book.
Wow love these books the book draws you in from the beginning not like some books that takes two or three chapters to get going (i usually give these a miss ). Great read and love the characters really looking forward to next in the series . Just started the barmaid and is just as good . Soo glad i found this Author .
I have read all of Brian's books! The Quint Adler thrillers are my favorite! I feel like I am right there and cannot put the book down until the end! I have already preordered the next one!
I could not put this book down!!! It was so incredibly good and so far my favorite in the Quint Adler series!!!! I read it in 2 days! It had me on the edge of my seat to find out what was going to happen. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!
Brian O’Sullivan has done it again. Every book I have read of his has been one you just can’t put down. I am happy I found him and working my way through this series and all of his other books. I highly recommend recommend this series and any book by this author.
Another hit for Brian O’Sullivan! The flow from the last book to this one was seamless. The additional characters all added to the overall story. I couldn’t put this one down waiting for the next turn in the story. I was not disappointed.
Book 4 in the Quint series did not disappoint. This one being set in Vegas. This quick read was full of many twists and turns. The end left more looking for more!
Brian continues to write another amazing novel! Can’t wait to see how the Quint series will wrap up!!!!!
If you’re thinking about reading any of his works, PLEASE do. I have yet to be let down by any of it. Maybe a heart drop of “oh no!” Or two along the way, but always enjoyable reads.
I loved this even more than the previous three. This fast paced mystery kept me a little panicked. As always, nothing was given away and I was busy solving the mystery with Quint. I’m starting book five right now.
Another great Quint Adler story from Brian O'Sullivan! It kept me engrossed throughout, finishing it in under 24 hours. I liked the pacing of this story and how there were big reveals throughout and not just one big (or not so big) twist at the end. On to the next Quint book!
This was a faced paced- adrenaline rush thats for sure! This book flipped the script on me,and I was NOT prepared 😭 Then Brian flipped it again just for good measure! These twists were just disrespectful to my ability to try and predict twists 🤣 Well done Brian! 👏
Another quick read that captures you right from the beginning. The team of O’Sullivan and Adler keeps you riveted from beginning to end and suits the reader who loves a few twists and turns. Be sure to read the Quint Adler series! Can’t wait for the next one!
