Into the Black #28

Into the Black: Book XXVIII - Shadows Fall

Rate this book
The X'thari threat has been contained, for now, though new planets have been found with the insectlike creatures. Relations between star nations are generally better than they have been in quite a while. Several areas of space that had been overrun by pirates are now all but free from their taint. But the universe in the game world of Dreams Amongst the Stars is not at rest. Having had time to rest and recover their minimal losses from the Yathru-Black Star corporate war, the Black Star Company finds itself looking to its interests, and its debts. One debt in particular sticks out. The enigmatic chimeras of Shadowgate attacked the Black Star CEO, Mirikon Mollen, in an attempt to subvert the company to their own ends. That kind of insult demands repayment. And Black Star always pays its debts. But the forces of Shadowgate are not the only powers moving in the darkness between the stars, and a new crisis may be on the horizon.

I'm a rookie author, looking to write stories that I enjoy writing. Not gonna get awards, but honestly, I'm happy with each and every person that reads my work.

Stuart is a sci-fi and anime geek, who dabbles in tabletop and video gaming. He enjoys cosplaying and has gone to DragonCon annually since 2009. Frozen Soul is his first book.

It is a sad, sad day when you finally break down and realize that you will never have the life you wanted, never do the things you wished to do, and never see the things you wanted to see. All because of a stupid lack of lightsabers.

I was a 26 y/o college student at Armstrong Atlantic State University, as a theater major. Went to school for a while before, dropped out, tried to go back, dropped out.. Not much to say other than the fact that I'm a laid back guy, and the only drama I like is the kind that's on the stage.

If I act like an idiot, or do anything to offend you, chances are it is not intentional, and I'm being oblivious. In that case, hit me upside the head, and tell me, because I don't catch subtle hints.

3 stars for books that are nearly half appendix

I enjoy the story, but each book is maybe a few chapters at best, 44% of the "book" is a bloated appendix of character sheets, copy and pasted from previous books, so know what you're buying. Soon in a few more releases more then half the "book" will be garbage no one reads. I have said it many times the author needs to turn these bloated appendix in all his works to a damn hyperlink as it's annoying as hell to get the next release and see the story end early at 56%.
