Love letter have become a thing of the past, but the beauty in their pages will never disappear.

Love , It is an indefinable, infinite emotion. Perhaps the most powerful of feelings, it can be beautiful,painful & at times, all consuming and dangerous.

Love letters have been written for centuries.This book consists of a collection of love letters from kings to paupers to painters or writers. Some of them are divine love letters, long lasting, honouring one, some of them are just hormone fueled rants, of attraction and destruction. Some great love stories like of Edgar Allan Poe & Sarah Helen Whitman, Emma Darwin & Charles Darwin, Mark Twain & Olivia Langdon, Abigail Smith & John Adams, Mozart & constanze Weber, Willian Godwun & Mary wollstone etc have kept me hooked completely.

Some letters were utter rubbish of selfishness and possesion, I hated the men or women after reading it.

"Words can never tell uou, however-form them transform them anyway- how perfectly dear you are to me- perfectly dear to my heart & soul.I look back & in every point, every word & gesture, every letter, every silence- you have been entirely perfect. I would not change one word, one look."

One of my Recents Reads — best love letters of all time - a soulful vintage classic!❤️

MY RATING: 4.5/5

📌 Talks of love as being a soulful emotion transcending all barriers of time, age, gender and other kind of social and economic hierarchies.

📌 Sheds light on the aesthetics, tenderness & warmth a handwritten letter holds in contrast to the quick superficial modern text messages.

📌 Contains 70+ vintage letters unveiling classical old school romance & flaunting the pain of parting & joy of reuniting.

📌 Offers a vision to the social, economic, political & cultural conditions of the epoch in which they were penned down.

📌 In nutshell, it's quite nice collection offering some insight into love as a whole and into own self.

📌 CON: I found just one turn-off that's "old English is used" and that's obvious coz they are written long ago but that caused me a handsome amount of difficulty.😅
