Join the 12 on their journey with Jesus, from his obscure beginnings, through phenomenal fame, rejection, crucifixion and resurrection. Familiar names in the Bible come to life in this groundbreaking novel by Bill Tinsley based on the Gospel of John and the Synoptics. Includes end notes for the more serious reader.
A fascinating story as told by John. It is fictional but is very realistic and entertaining. In this book you get a more personal view of each of the disciples personalities.
Such a thought provoking story about Jesus and his disciples.
This book depicts Jesus as a individual who laughs, plays jokes with his friends, teacher, comforter, and so much more. We all know Jesus as the holy person upon whom we base our religious beliefs. He is that but he is also a companion, an encourager, and physical leader of men. The story is told from the view point of John, brother of Peter, and is well crafted and based on biblical information found in the countless reference footnotes.
This is a wonderful book that I think every Christian should read, and those who aren't Christians yet. You are right there from the beginning of Jesus after he spent the 40 days in the wilderness. It is a wonderfully, well-written book and I highly recommend it.
Jesus’s ministry from beginning to end as it might have been seen and experienced by his disciples. Something is learned each time I read Christian writings fiction or not.
This exceeded my expectations. I found it to be the best page turner. It lifted my spirit and caused to deepen my Christian walk. Every believer should read.
Bill Tinsley never disappoints. Whether I am reading his articles in my local paper or any number of his novels, I am always moved. I particularly loved the story of Jesus in the “voice” of the beloved disciple, John!
This is my new favorite telling of the life of the Savior. So beautifully written! The feeling is similar to the TV series The Chosen. The Savior becomes real and relatable, but in a way that doesn't demean or normalize Him. To come as God, live as man, and convince weak humans of who he was is a mind boggling task. We are so limited in our thinking as humans it is hard for us to recognize and understand truth. This book helped me love my Savior even more, and better understand His love for me.
