War for Monster Earth

Rate this book
THIS TIME IT'S WAR, AND THE STAKES HAVE NEVER BEEN HIGHER! Decades ago, the nihilistic cult known as the Dissemblers worked to bring alien Armageddon down upon the EArth, and now the fruits of their evil labors have ripened. Five intergalactic Objects that landed on the planet years before have opened to disgorge giant monsters programmed to clear a path for the subjugation and eventual elimination of humanity and its own monstrous champions. Tasked by the United Nations to discover a solution to defeating the Object creatures, Doctors Nozomi McClaren and Clark Bennett race across the globe in a state-of-the-art aircraft, encountering unthinkable danger and destruction at every turn. Their mission seems hopeless and the monsters they face near-impossible to kill, but they have Monster Earth's beasts on their side...and none of them are ready to just lie down and die! Let writers Jim Beard, John C. Bruening, Teel James Glenn, Nancy Hansen, Russell Nohelty, and Desmond Reddick be your guides and protectors as the battles begin and the WAR FOR MONSTER EARTH becomes an inferno that threatens to purge the entire planet!

Monster Earth 3

I gave it an extra star because there was no cursing. I read the other two books years ago and enjoyed them. I really liked where this book wad going, but the ending was kind of weak. It built up and up and kind of fizzled at the end. I mean, I got it, but the ending could have been so much more. I think there was an opening for a book 4. What's a few centuries in the scheme of things? I would recommend reading this book, but read the other two first. Still hoping for a book four, but sooner than this one please.

I love kaiju. I love the idea that there are monsters on this earth and each country has one.

You would think I loved this book...and you'd be right. This is kind of a kaleidescope nove;l in that different parts are written by different people. All are well written and terribly interesting. The only reason this is not a five star review is that I was disappointed in the ending. I wanted it to be different.

I do recommend this series; this is book 3; if you love kaiju like me, give it a try.
