James is an author, editor and publisher working in the science fiction, fantasy, and new pulp genres. He has written articles, interviews, reviews, and columns for Tangent Online, Strange Horizons, and The Internet Review of Science Fiction. His work has appeared in the new pulp anthologies Gideon Cain: Demon Hunter, , Mars McCoy Space Ranger vol. 2, and Tales of the Rook vol. 2.

James is also the author of the Lovecraftian noir novella Slow Djinn, Four Terrors: Weird Horror Stories, and editor of the weird western anthology Strange Trails, Robots Unleashed!, and editor and co-creator (with former comics scribe Jim Beard) of the alternate history giant monster anthology series Monster Earth.

A recovering comic book addict, James lives in Northeast Georgia with his wife and daughter.

Monster Earth 3

I gave it an extra star because there was no cursing. I read the other two books years ago and enjoyed them. I really liked where this book wad going, but the ending was kind of weak. It built up and up and kind of fizzled at the end. I mean, I got it, but the ending could have been so much more. I think there was an opening for a book 4. What's a few centuries in the scheme of things? I would recommend reading this book, but read the other two first. Still hoping for a book four, but sooner than this one please.

I love kaiju. I love the idea that there are monsters on this earth and each country has one.

You would think I loved this book...and you'd be right. This is kind of a kaleidescope nove;l in that different parts are written by different people. All are well written and terribly interesting. The only reason this is not a five star review is that I was disappointed in the ending. I wanted it to be different.

I do recommend this series; this is book 3; if you love kaiju like me, give it a try.
