This book was poorly written. The content of the book might have been better had the author not written it like it was a high school project.

Man, what a journey. I actually had the chance to meet Michael before reading this book, and after finishing it, everything I had already felt around him finally made sense. Corley is a perfect example of someone who isn’t in it for the money or fame, but to put his name alongside legends of the sport and truly showcase his talent as a fighter. His story shows that you don’t have to know exactly where you’re going, as long as you believe what you’re doing is right. To a man who has been around the world and back chasing his purpose, excuses are just words — and I feel that energy around him too. No excuses. Michael Chase Corley is living proof of that mindset. The hard work and dedication he put in over the years is evident in his gym, where his character truly seeps through the walls and his coaches. Each one is a prodigy and makes sense why they are where they are as well. He’s built what I believe is the best Muay Thai, Kickboxing, BJJ, or MMA gym in Texas. On top of being inspiring, this was a great read — I laughed multiple times along the way. I can’t wait to see what else he accomplishes, because I know he’s not done. He’s thinking big 24/7.

Makes you want to get after it!

As a fighter and coach, this book really makes you feel all the emotions that come with fighting. The weight cuts. The last minute opponent changes. The uncertainty. The excitement. Whether you train Muay Thai, or not, this is a great story for anyone who has always loved the martial arts. Stop thinking about reading it. Read it now!

I really enjoyed this book, I’m an avid reader and it’s definitely on my list of favorite books. It’s not a typical gimmicky or cliché life story of a fighter.

He held back no punches, no pun intended. It’s a raw book, how books of this nature should be. I finished it in 11 days, very hard to put down. I’m looking forward to his next book and I’m proud to call him my coach!
