She’s neat. He’s not. What could possibly go wrong?
Jennifer Sanders has life nicely under control. She’s the practice manager for a busy urology clinic, and everything runs like clockwork, thanks to her talent for efficiency and order. She gets along well with her colleagues and at the end of each day, she’s satisfied with her work and her life.
But one awful week, disaster strikes. Two key staff members announce that they’re leaving, throwing the clinic into instant disarray.
Jennifer does her best to find replacements and breathes a sigh of relief when she finds someone she thinks will be suitable. But when the new doctor arrives, it isn’t the calm, experienced, middle-aged woman that Jennifer is expecting. It’s … a man! And it isn’t very long before she discovers that he’s a messy one with baggage from the past. How can this situation possibly turn out to be good?
Will Jennifer be able to see past the chaos the new doctor brings to her life? Will Pat be able to disentangle himself from his past? What happens when Ms. Neat meets Dr. Chaos?

There’s hardly a book I’ve read that was as bad as this one. I was very tempted to not finish it, but because I’m one of those people that finishes every book she starts, I did so with this one as well.
I’d read a different book by this author, so I was hoping for a pleasant read, but was sadly disappointed.
It was a very predictable story line. The writing was not awful, but it was weak, especially in regard to show-not-tell and drawn-out dialog. In addition to that, there was a whole lot of random things that were just… yeah… For example, in the middle of the story, we get a chapter from the point of view of an animal. Yes, an animal. No, this is not a fantasy story.
There was also a whole lot of things that didn’t make sense. For example, a character says he likes tea. In the next sentence, he says that he’ll go drink coffee. Maybe those are details. But a good story nails the details too. I also think we never ended up finding out . And that was a big part of the story.
To make matters worse, I didn’t like the way certain issues, such as divorce were mentioned in this novel. Divorce was mentioned as something casual, as something everyone does. (Quote: “‘Isn’t it funny how we go through life in phases?’ she said. ‘Everyone graduates together, and then they all get married, one by one, and then the divorces start happening.’”) While there are reasons to get a divorce, it is definitely not a casual thing. It’s a big deal. In this book it is presented as something you do when infatuation fades and you fall in love with someone else. (Quote: “‘I was married once too,’ she said. ‘But we drifted apart and then he wanted a divorce.’”) It’s all about the looks and the feelings. (Quote: “Did he have to be so good-looking? It would’ve been easier to be annoyed with him if he wasn’t.”)
Many of the characters were presented as completely good or completely bad. No place for second changes, forgiveness or growing as people. No place even to talk through a problem.
I did enjoy some of the jokes though, and I certainly appreciated that it was a clean romance. There was also one good twist, even if that fizzled when the book didn’t continue with more.
This is a well written medical romance with strong characters in Jennifer and Pat. The author doe a great job developing the relationship and moves the story fluidly with her descriptive and detailed scenes. It's a sweet romance with an entertaining story line. I enjoyed reading.

I was enjoying this book until Chapter 4 when I came across a word that didn’t make any sense to me. The passage reads as, “When he took off a few hours off to let the removalists into his new place…” Well I had to stop and figure out what the author meant. It only took a few minutes to discover that the author lives in another country from the U.S. (where the book takes place) and used they terminology “removalists” for “movers”. When Virginia runs into a man outside of a coffee shop and was injured, the man takes her inside to have something to drink or eat and says something like, “(m)y shout.” Virginia admits to being a part of the blame and the man says, “(m)aybe, but it’s still my shout”, I don’t know what that means except for maybe “my treat”? Another was calling a “bandage” a “plaster”. This book was full of things that. That is a pet peeve of mine. I would have preferred the book to take place in her country. Why have a book take place in another part of the world from your own country? It is like the author is trying to appeal to a bigger audience. I did not remove any stars from the book for this. I like learning through reading but it took some charm away from the book for me.
This book was written in a dual POV format. That is my favorite. I get to see the characters’ thoughts to really connect with them. I was able to understand them better and it made them more human instead of just characters of a book.
This is the first book in the Medically Yours series. I actually started with book 2 and worked my way through before reading this one, and let me tell you what an awesome series this is! Fresh, fun stories that will have you smiling all the way through. In this book, Jennifer is the practice manager of a urology clinic and she likes everything organized and in order and keeps things running efficiently. When two of the staff members leave, she scrambles to find replacements and she thinks she has found the perfect person, a middle-aged, calm, experienced woman. When she realizes that she has hired a man, this makes her very nervous and to top it off he comes with some messy baggage and a bit of sass. All this combined makes for a delightful, laugh-out-loud, fun story that I could not put down. Thoroughly enjoyable storyline and endearing characters, this is one not to be missed. I happily recommend this book along with the whole series!

Through a typo, Jennifer hired the “wrong” doctor to work at the clinic. When a man instead of a woman arrives, Jennifer is highly unsettled. Liking it when everything goes according to plan, she is confronted with a new personality she was not expecting and wonders how the work environment will be affected… This novella was the perfect example of gaining more than one expects. I share with Jennifer the tendency to organize my work and stick to plans. Sometimes, witch such a mindset, there is not much space for spontaneity. Thankfully, in face of the challenge, Jennifer realized the good that was able to come out of quite an unexpected situation. Though her trait of character may be great for efficiency, having room for other qualities can be very enriching. Have fun as you accompany Jennifer on her journey to cope with her daily challenges at work!

Jennifer is an extreme neat-nik who likes order, efficiency, and everything running smoothly on her terms. With the loss of two staff members, her world is thrown into chaos and disarray. She hires someone, expecting a calm middle-aged female doctor for her clinic. When a man shows up, and a disorganized and messy one, Jennifer totally loses her calm demeanor and shrieks at him that he was a man. He seemed delighted to have been identified as one. The “battle” had begun!
You will thoroughly enjoy this zany story with likable characters, even though quirky, and a fast-paced story line to keep the reader laughing throughout. I do sympathize with Jennifer, but some people focus on doing a good job and not so much on having the paperclips aligned in the same direction… you know what I mean. Will the two of them learn to work together for the greater good? Can Jennifer lighten up while Pat tries to tighten up? Or is it a lost cause?
Jennifer, a practice manager of a clinic where doctors & nurses sees patients and performs surgeries in a specialty field, believes being organized and neat is the key for things running smoothly. One of the surgeons is leaving for a year but tells Jennifer she has a friend whose looking for something new away from the city. Jennifer is relieved and welcomes the new doctor, Pat. Pat is a great doctor and the patients love him, but he’s very messy! Jennifer also needs to find a new nurse and thinks she finds a jewel to later find out that she’s Pat’s ex wife who goes out of her way to make Jennifer look bad. I’ve worked in the medical field for many decades and it only takes one person to unbalance an office, but how can Jennifer fire the new nurse? Are there sparks between Pat & Jennifer? A great “doctor falls for nurse” story.

Jennifer just wants everything to be organised, but life sometimes gives you chaos when you want calm. She thought she had organised a woman doctor replacement, so she doesn't expect the man who turns up instead. Will her careful plans all crumble? What about her knees, when she sees the sexy doctor? Can Pat be as good as he seems? Pat loves telling jokes, and changes the atmosphere at the clinic, and he feels an attraction with Jennifer. Will it work out for this pair that works together? I enjoyed this medical romance, Pat is so easy to love (and has lovely manners), Jennifer wants order, but she is easy to like too, the only person who I didn't like so much was Virginia (who seems so selfish).

Jennifer is an anal nurse practice manager obsessed with organization and not falling behind in patient appointments. I agree that repeatedly arriving after your appointments is not good for the clinic as it means someone else has to do your job. But she was also frustrated that her sister Laura enjoyed interacting with the patients and felt that it disrupted the schedule. But when a mix up brings Dr. Pat MacKenna with his corny jokes, friendliness the patient enjoy, and messy ways to the clinic Jennifer starts to see that work can get completed and still be fun. There was a lot of crazy antics in this book with Pat's ex unknowingly hired by Jennifer causing trouble, animal escapes, pumpkin boat races, and more. I smiled, laughed, and shook my head at times.
This is a second chances love story between Jennifer and Pat. Its also one of my favourite tropes- the doctor- nurse romance at a clinic. Unfortunately, its very predictable, they are absolute opposites - he's an extrovert peoples man and she's believes more in organization and systems, he's a messy guy and she's neat and completely tidy. Its Ms Perfect and Mr. Mess. Both are decent characters though Pat is a delight. The author has done complete justice to him.
Unfortunately, the story development is very patchy, predictable and leaves a lot of potholes. Sad because it had all the ingredients to make a great story.

Jennifer is the practice manager of the clinic and is ending up being the nurse as well when someone's late or doesn't show up. First the clinic nurse quits and then the doctor has to leave. The doctor has a replacement doctor lined up but a mistake sends the offer to the wrong person but this is very good. The nurse replacement is not so good. After she hires her, Jennifer finds out she is Pat's ex-wife. Virginia is not nice and I'm glad she leaves. During all this, Pat and Jennifer connect romantically. Pat is a very good match for the clinic and for Jennifer as well. I loved the humor in this book.
Jennifer, the clinic manager , when trying to replace one of the surgeons, accidentally sends a job offer to the wrong doctor . When the new doctor arrives he is not the female she was expecting. He settles in but upsets the orderliness that Jennifer is used to both in the clinic and in her heart. Add in a new nurse with an agenda and there is definitely chaos in the clinic. A short romantic comedy with likable characters and some laughable moments. I really enjoyed the story and look forward to reading more.

I've read several books written by Kaitlynn Clarkson; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
Jennifer runs the clinic with efficiency and order but when two employees decide to move on she has to find replacements; then Pat shows up and he is just the opposite of her; he’s messy and comes with a lot of baggage.

This was a decent clean romance with a chunk of childness thrown in from a jealous ex. I enjoyed the work but found it to be a little slow at times with nothing really exciting happening in the plot. It was clean, so there was very little action. Overall it was good a work, it had just been a while since I had read something so clean.
I give this a four out of five stars.

A story line that captivates your attention and entertains you from cover to cover. The characters are fun, intriguing and make the story line enjoyable. The chemistry is steamy and the attraction between the characters definitely has some heat. They say opposites attract and that's true in this story.

A doctor's novel with a lot of humor in the interaction between the different employees of a clinic. And a blossoming love that slowly develops between Dr. Pat and the practice manager. Until Virginia comes. A new nurse who is also Dr. Pat's ex.
All in all, a book without a message but a book that will bring a smile to your face 3.5 *

This is a cute romance with Jennifer who runs the urology office like clock work but when she hires a new doctor for the office and it turns out at Pat is not a woman but a man she is thrown off. Pat is humorous and everyone likes him but she is having a hard time accepting him into she orderly office. They are opposites but oh so perfect for each other.
The first book in the Medically Yours series. I will say you can read this series in any order as that has been what I have done. I enjoyed reading Jennifer and Pat's story of their ups and downs, and it had a jealous ex-wife. I found this story to be well worth reading. Story line is great, and I loved the characters. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it! Unexpected twists and turns had me reading this book in one sitting. Great storyline and character development made this book a hot and enjoyable read!
The story was cute and I loved Pats dad jokes but Virginia was a little too childish for someone later in life. I think her “attacks” should’ve been a little more vicious and age appropriate. Just my opinion. I liked the premise and that it was clean and still quirky.
Jennifer and Pat's story is simply adorkable especially their meet-cute. There is something missing, but I'm not sure I can currently put it into words.
