A semi-autobiographical novel about boyhood in the late 1950s and early 1960s set in the suburbs of Philadelphia. While the world was turning for a group pf boys on the late 1950s, their world was a scruffy sandlot baseball diamond, a haven from the outside world until one day when Bobby slid into second base and reality appeared and their blissful boyhood ended.
