A great starting place
When starting to read the Bible, the Gospel of John is a solid place to start. And this particular devotional helps make it easy to get into a regular reading habit.

Excellent
I found this book to be very useful. It speaks from Scripture as well as encourages you to ask God to speak into your life what you need. It is clear, encouraging, and faith/life building. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to truly live Life.
