This is a vital historical document about the complexities and confusions of 90s dyke life, complete with meditations on interracial sexuality, SM, gender/queer fluidity, and rightful anger at the aptly-termed "lesbian thought police." The play here was a highlight, the poems were a pretty dull lowlight, and the analysis was nothing if not interesting.

Not the best writing but interesting plot elements, Jamaican dialect (not clear if realistic)

The move made from this book (Brown Girl Begins is AWFUL and only very spatially matched the story

Note: matching blood types are not adequate for organ donation. The search for an AB+ heart seemed flawed

Were these phrases in the story intentional references?
