Entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series

This is a entertaining supernatural cozy mystery/urban fantasy series. It has both a touch of urban fantasy as well as cozy mystery. It has a great cast of characters and a unique and entertaining storyline. Blair welts grew up in a human world she thought she was normal. She was adopted as a child and raised by great adoptive parents. Although she never really quite fit in. She was accident prone couldn’t keep a job for very long kept jumping from job to job moving from place to place. Do one day she got a job offer and decided what the heck. She moved to fairy Falls where she is starting a new job any recruiting office to hire people for jobs. She soon begins to realize it’s not quite the same as everywhere else. And she soon find out there are witches werewolves vampires and many other super nationals that live in this town. She also seen finds out that she is a witch and then finds out she is actually a half witch and half fairy. And she gets to learn more about herself and learn how do use her powers The real adventures begin. She has a knack for always being around when trouble happens. The local police is headed up by gargoyles and the security force is headed up by her boyfriend. Security force works with the gargoyles to keep the town safe. The town is only supernatural and most humans cannot even find it. Read on and enjoy the adventures and you will not be disappointed.

Drags on a bit

Blair and her father meet her adoptive parents in Sloan and a man drops dead right in front of them breaking up their gathering.

Shortly after Blair and Alissa bump into Maura and Carey who've decided to visit Fairy Falls to capture more footage of ghosts for Carey's ghost blog. Carey's read about a "Shadow of the Lake" from another, recently deceased, ghost hunters blog.. was his death connected to the "Shadow" who it's believed curses those who disturb her?

Things soon get out of hand, as no one wants to talk to or assist the reaper witch, and Maura seems to be set on stirring up trouble no matter what.

I'm not really sure what is going on with the crossover novels though. It's odd but the characters seem to have personality transplants when they switch series. Maura becomes quite unlike herself and is rather unlikeable and Carey isn't her usual bubbly, eager self either. In a totally separate crossover Robin Wildwood seemed to be at odds with how she's portrayed in her own series too. It makes these crossover novels a less compelling read. This one seemed awkward and jerky, at times Blair came across downright rude and other characters also seem off.

Hopefully they return to their former standard because it would put me off continuing if Adams doesn't find her spark soon.

In Witch the New is Book 12 in the Blair Wilkes Series by Elle Adams.

This book was absolutely fantastic! This was one of the best crossover stories
I have read. Maura , Mart and Carey are visiting from Hawkwood Hollow (Reaper Witch Series)
to get some footage for Carey's blog.

Blair runs into them in town and discovers that Maura is half Reaper but with no scythe.

Add to this Blair's adoptive parents meet Blair's biological father.

This book was so good I absolutely loved the characters , from both series.
I really like Blair and Nathan's relationship.

Alissa and Samuel the vampire seem to be a perfect match too.

This seriously was so fun I couldn't put it down. This can be read as a stand alone book, but definitely check out the other books in both series as they are all amazing!

Great writing

This book features some of the characters from the Reaper Witch series for a unique story. I did find Blair overly whiny and that isn't really evident in previous books. Blair is normally confident and impetuous but she comes across as rude. I still especially like this series but I'm finding Blair less likeable now. Don't ruin a series by bringing in characters from another series and building a plot that fits those characters over the primary characters.

Book 12

Blaire natural father is meeting her foster parents when a strange acting man drops dead outside where they are having drinks. When waking back to their enchanted town they come across 2 women and a ghost visiting there too. A half Reaper and a blogger along with the ghost they are surprised to find Blair can see.
I found the book slow and tedious, quite unlike Elle Adams books I've read before. I couldn't even finish it.

I was happy to have something different again. While there was someone who died, it wasn’t inside Fairy Falls and who they died was different. Bringing in a new fantasy “species” was a breath of fresh air. Now, will Blair’s foster parents find out about who she is and how different she is? Only 3 books left till we find out!

An evil spirit in the lake

The teenage reaper ghost is funny - typical teenage boy. His sister is there to deal with a bad ghost.

Im am behind so I am putting them all in at once but I love them all.
Excellent read, Blair is up to her ears in trouble once again when a trio of people come town look for ghosts. And she gets caught up in the search causing her and her friends to become the subject of the ghosts ire. Will she get out of this particular problem or will someone fall. You will have to read to find out.
