INTRODUCTION

This was quite an interesting and captivating read by Ava Fox about life and love in the world of the rich and elite. Audrey is hired to write a story about life in high society but what she is not prepared for is the back stabbing and deceit that exist in this world. Audrey meets Jamie, whose family is very wealthy and has certain expectations of him, and as time draws on they develop feelings for one another. Unfortunately in Jamie's world Audrey is not considered to be good enough for him. Jamie stands his ground and together Jamie and Audrey uncover some harsh realities and deceit happening before their very eyes. A great read with lots of great moments between our main characters left me wanting more of this series. I am looking forward to reading more in this series.

The hero & heroine shone bright in a dark world...
I found this to be a well written story. The main characters were surrounded by shallow, self serving people & the hero was treated shabbily by his father, the patriarch of the business whose recent business decisions were suspect at best. The heroine is the bright star who guides the hero to the light & together they make a great team. Will his father acknowledge that his son was right, after all, he & his girlfriend saved him from losing the company. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

It took a little while for me to get into the story, but after a reading a while, things started to pick up and get interesting. This is not a instalove or boy meets girl and falls in love easily. It's filled with drama, elitism, shady business practices, and a slow burn love story. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Although I finished the book and even though this is a trilogy, I cannot bring myself to read the other 2 books, as I didn’t find it an exciting read.
